Gazing down upon the dry creek bed behind our house, I look for signs of water. Instead all I see is its jagged spine of arid rock, twisting, clamoring, to quench its thirst. Currents feeding streams currently feed data centers where hard drives erase the hard lessons of life. Wells of imagination run dry as children trade daydreams for tablets, rowing down a frigid virtual stream where strangers steer their fated vessels into an abyss.

How did we wind up this far down the technological river without a paddle?

In my past life as a computer salesman, we’d advise clients on the costly payment card industry data security standards (PCI-DSS) they needed to install if they wanted to keep running credit cards through the internet on their point-of-sale (POS) system. Many of my customers chose to revert to dial-up, which didn’t have the same stringent security standards. It’s much more difficult to tap a physical landline and capture credit card data than to have an internet connection where you can hack into an IP (internet protocol) address. If a client wanted to keep processing credit cards through the internet, they’d often have to upgrade their POS system’s hardware, which would cost anywhere between $5,000 to $100,000. If you’re selling pizzas, this is a considerable chunk of change.

Side note: Does anyone remember the manual credit card imprinter?

Oh, how I miss the smell of that carbon paper…

Owners had no idea if someone’s credit card would work - but that was the natural intelligence of trust at play.

Why were we pushing for tougher software security? Credit card processors got their marching orders from banks, which would quickly come up with security regulations in response to a crisis. For instance, in 2013 there was a nationwide data breach at Target, as hackers exposed personal and financial information of over 40 million customers. The attackers gained access through compromised credentials belonging to a third-party vendor, resulting in the theft of credit card details, email addresses, and phone numbers. Malicious activity was detected on November 27^th but wasn’t disclosed until late December.

In 2015, Home Depot had the payment details of 56 million customers stolen by hackers who had gained access to third-party login credentials. To add insult to injury, both Home Depot and Target were already PCI-DSS compliant, abiding by the rules of credit card processors at the time of the data breach. Banks and merchant service providers still did not hesitate to push for tougher security, even though these upgrades would do little to prevent an attacker from being able to steal, or buy, someone else’s password.

Today not only pizza joints, but all people who use social media are being told that they need to pay a price, which will ultimately be much more than $10,000. Even though biometric and age verification are being implemented on Substack and other social media sites, it seems as though these platforms are becoming even less secure.

Seeing the smokestack forest for the trees

Recently Substack announced a data breach where user accounts, emails, phone numbers and meta data (includes account creation dates, subscription information, and IP addresses) were exposed. The breach initially occurred in October, but it took Substack four months to notice. In a world where enterprise security teams typically measure threat detection in hours, how did this 120-day lag even happen?

of Tech Crunch blog was the first to report on the issue:

“It’s not clear what exactly the issue was with its systems, and the scope of the data that was accessed. It’s also not yet known why the company took five months to detect the breach, or if it was contacted by hackers demanding a ransom.

Substack did not say how many users are affected.”

Some speculate the hack occurred due to limitations in the automated threat detection capabilities of Substack. Tech Crunch did reach out to Substack for comment, but to date no one knows how the attack occurred. Maybe , the CEO of Substack, can shed some more light on the matter.

Let us take the mindset of online security to its logical end:

What would be the ultimate way to prevent hackers from accessing someone’s information?

What would be even more secure than a biometric facial scan?

A retinal scan?

Hackers are already employing what are called injection attacks, where they can write code and fabricate someone else’s identity using data from AI. By leveraging camera emulators and specialized software, hackers simulate live streams, bypassing the need for a physical camera or presence.1

What about a full body scan using the same millimeter wave technology of airports?

This may not be too far-fetched, as Microsoft patents like 2020060606A12 could very easily work with wireless networks by employing ultrawide band (UWB) communications, pinpointing our location to within 30 centimeters.

A hacker could replicate our retina or selfie, but one could argue that reproducing our dynamic movements and bodily activity would be far more difficult. In theory, this form of solitary confinement ironically aims to create the freedom to be free of identity theft. However, if history is to tell us anything, it’s that hackers don’t keep up with technology, they stay ahead of it.

Even though one could argue that prison cells are very safe from the outside world, they still leave you exposed to the general population of other criminals. You won’t get run over by a car when in prison, but if your enemy has keys to your cell, then you are left vulnerable in a bleak forest where no one will hear you shouting.

Grandma wants a fake ID

Cybersecurity executives are sounding the alarm on artificial intelligence and its ability to create fake documents and false personas called deep fakes, which can be audio or video recordings to make it appear as if someone is doing something they didn’t do. Below is an example of a deep fake as shown in Terminator 2.

Why do I refer to Terminator so often? Because it’s rapidly coming true. Once we understand the problem, we can devise a solution. “Silly” sci-fi movies aren’t just for geeks - they’re warnings to humankind.

Back to our terminated world of sanity…

ChatGPT is currently capable of creating fake passports that can bypass online security measures:

Although the ChatGPT-fabricated passport likely would not withstand scrutiny due to the absence of an embedded chip, it proved sufficient to bypass the most basic KYC (know-your customers) procedures employed by some fintech services like cryptocurrency exchanges. In response, cybersecurity experts are calling for NFC (near field communication), which enable hardware-level authentication.

🛑 Timeout. Let’s stop for a reality check.

These types of security “recommendations” are where the fallacy of more security falls on its face, and exposes the pathetic old wizard of Oz.

If an AI-generated passport wouldn’t pass muster at airport or border security without an electronic chip, then why do we need more hardware-level authentication (e.g. electronic chips)?

We don’t, even though data harvesting and cybersecurity firms would love to sell us more technology.

Reading between the lines of cybersecurity

Here are some current recommendations being made by cybersecurity firms, and three potential ways AI could be justified to bring us into a surveillance state:

🔒 Strengthened authentication:

Use of advanced tools like NFC-enabled document checks and liveness detection to better verify user identities and spot deepfakes.

✔️ Translation: Near field communication is the ability of our devices and businesses to use radiofrequency and track our location. Retailers are drooling over more consumer data gathered by NFC.

When I left Oracle software in 2015, one of the last “tools” they discussed was stores being able to greet someone at the door, already knowing their shoe size or clothing color preference. Creepy much? I quit soon after.

🔒 Update risk models:

Regularly review and adjust fraud prevention practices to account for new AI-driven threats, rather than relying on old procedures.

✔️ Translation: AI will drain businesses and tax payers of more money, while banks who issue fraud prevention guidelines and cybersecurity executives rake in more profit.

🔒 Layer security:

Combine biometric systems, cross-checks with official databases, and AI-powered anomaly detection to make verification processes tougher to bypass

✔️ Translation: the end to all freedom and permanent data harvesting, creating eternal profits for the military industrial surveillance complex while morally and financially bankrupting the general population and future generations in perpetuity.

I don’t know about you, but I can easily spot a fake YouTube actor with artificial boobs, or a five-foot tall Chinese guy telling me that Tai-Chi walking will give me his 42 inch pectorals.

But I digress…

Does anyone remember the good ole’ days, where the biggest worry over having a fake ID was being busted by an undercover cop at the liquor store?

Many teens today pride themselves on not drinking. Good for them.

They just scroll and consume digital heroin while vaping government cannabis.

I say let’s bring back the tequila and the cool grandparents that could drink us under the table.

But now I really digress…

Let the Bots Rot the Robot

Recently I spoke with colleagues on LinkedIn who have also noticed that the platform has not been able to stop the explosion of fake profiles. The volume of false accounts continues to rise, with 156 million fake accounts blocked annually in 2025—up from 121 million in 2023. Generative AI like ChatGPT creates these profiles, primarily for marketing and lead generation. AI profiles mimic real users with convincing headshots and fabricated job histories, targeting potential customers to initiate contact before handing them off to real salespeople.

When it comes to faces generated by AI, a recent study by PNAS3 found that people have a 50% chance of guessing correctly. The research also found that some people find machine-generated faces more trustworthy because AI often uses average facial features, suspects Hany Farid, co-author of the study. Below is a sample of faces, which study participants needed to discern as fake vs real.

Can you also guess what cybersecurity professionals are proposing as the remedy to the AI identity crisis, caused by artificial intelligence?

More artificial intelligence! AI-driven facial recognition is being rolled out in response, and users are being pushed to verify their identity with more security measures like selfies and uploading ID documents, which will only create less privacy and more data for AI to harvest.

Fighting fire with fire may not be a sound strategy. When it comes to AI, our only defense is our discerning, all-seeing human eye.

Now that we’ve opened Pandora’s box, we may stand to learn from the moral lessons given to us by the mythic Greeks. Pandora was given a jar by Zeus filled with all the evils of humanity, including disease, death, sorrow, greed, and strife. Driven by curiosity, she opened the jar, releasing all the evils into the world, ending the Golden Age of innocence and peace. Only Hope (Elpis) remained inside, trapped beneath the lid.

Hope can be a delusion, but it also drives us to keep moving forward in the midst of overwhelming obstacles. Coupled with determination and the human spirit, hope is what allows us to see beyond AI, to what some call the Solarpunk timeline:

Traveling along the yellow brick road of destiny, we’re bound to find some tin men along the way, who wouldn’t survive without the elbow grease of our sweat.

In 2023, it was discovered that almost half of Elon Musk’s followers were likely bots.4 Over 42% (around 65.3 million) of Musk’s 153 million followers in 2023 had zero followers of their own. More than 72% (nearly 112 million) had fewer than 10 followers. Musk had bought X in 2022. This example reminds me of the school bully corralling others to be his friends, and only seeing these “friends” during recess. Those same friends go home and tell their parents how much they hate how the bully pushes everyone around, without having the backbone to punch him in the face themselves.

How else are the barons of the barren techno wasteland programming us?

Movies, mass media, and video games condition the collective subconscious with predictive messages, encoding our neural software to “accept future updates.”

When Metal Gear Solid 2 was released in 2001, its plot was criticized for being confusing and overly philosophical. The antagonist wasn’t a nuclear-equipped tank, but artificial intelligence. This AI, known as “The Patriots,” didn’t want to destroy humanity; it wanted to control it by filtering digital information. The game posited a future where the sheer volume of trivial information (“junk data”) would require algorithms to curate what people saw, effectively allowing those algorithms to shape truth.

Even more concerning is the fact that artificially predictive intelligence (API) can transform our very soul and make us believe… in make-believe. Techno tyranny sprouts from the deeply-embedded emotional software of religion, as we’re programmed to think we’re the “sinner” if we dare question the perverted rhetoric of its high priests. Like a battered spouse, we accept our doom because we had it coming.

Thanks to groups like the Christian Transhumanist Association, which believes AI is what God wants, original sin has gotten an upgrade. Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel has claimed the moral high ground, calling those who resist AI “the antichrist.”

What can we do about it?

Six years ago, we were given a choice to partake in a masquerade.

Some of us chose to lose face by losing the face mask.

A few of us chose to lose our job as a result.

Yet many of us gained a livelihood instead. At the very least, we preserved our honor and dignity by not participating in the drill of human degradation.

Now a new event horizon approaches, and we face a choice.

Do we submit our most intimate details, and cut off the windpipe of human potential just so we can come up gasping for air once in a while?

Or do we stand firm, no matter the consequences?

Looking up at the sky past the desolate creek bed, I’m reminded of the hawk we saw recently.

Perched upon a tree, this bird watched the entire landscape for the entire day, with an unflinching assuredness that it would catch its prey, and feed its young.

Confidence. Calm. Patience.

This is the synergistic emotional elixir of the apex predator, who stalks in silence.

By walking slowly, and watching artificial intelligence as an unattached observer, we can stay ahead.

In the ocean of artificial intelligence, many of us feel overwhelmed.

Yet in each of us is contained a drop of an ocean immortal to time.

With each action, we replete the rivers of Mother Earth with the tear of joy.

Each time we:

Choose to read instead of watching television.

Turn off the light, and let a candle light our night.

Lift our head from our phone and lift our hearts to the sky.

Learn a skill that will last forever.

Walk one step for love.

Take one leap over the river with God.

Dear Little Brothers & Sisters,

Thank you all for joining us this Saturday in talking about Big Brother’s recent growth spurt.

For those of you who were not able, I’m including a link to the video, along with fallacies I’ve found when it comes to towns thinking their cameras are the best thing since sliced prison yard bread.

I, along with my colleagues here in Arizona, are creating a trove of information that other towns can use when battling the Flock AI surveillance grid. We’ve knocked on doors, met with officials, and have been conducting a series of webinars that I have posted here.

Recently we attended a Town Hall meeting where the Prescott Police Chief gave a presentation on the glorious benefits of Flock Safety cameras. Since we live in an alternate reality where lies are truth, and hate is love, everything we hear as fact could very well be a partial truth, which as likes to say “always leads to a full lie.”

During the presentation at Town Hall last week, which Jen Barber covered in her recent article, a study session was conducted, whereby town officials listened to the Police Chief and a Flock representative substantiate why AI surveillance is necessary, and gave rebuttals to common objections by flocks of citizens.

The Flock public relations representative Trevor Chandler began his talk by alluding to “viral TikToks and YouTubes” that misguided the public on the faults of Flock. This sounds eerily similar to 2020, when the public was being warned of “health misinformation” being circulated on social media. While there are many more inconsistencies I found with their arguments, I am going to lay out just a few of them here.

Here are 6 myths I’m going to bust about Flock:

1️⃣ Flock does not use facial recognition. While we’re told that these cameras don’t have this capability, Flock OS software exposes the public to having their biometric data stolen and manipulated by any hacker or programmer able to do so. Recently Benn Jordan, a musician and programmer who uncovers weaknesses in technology, was able to use Open Source Intelligence to gather private information of individuals recorded by Flock cameras in public. Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) is the collection and analysis of publicly available information—from social media, websites, news, and government reports, which produces actionable insights for decision-making, investigations, and security. OSINT is used by law enforcement, cybersecurity professionals, and businesses to identify threats, conduct due diligence, and monitor trends. Jordan used a commercial facial recognition software along with OSINT to then determine people’s financial and medical history:1

“I found out that one of them just finished medical school and the other is dealing with chronic irritable bowel syndrome. The couple also just had a baby last year and they have a pretty concerning debt-to-income ratio. I also know that they drove over 45 minutes from their address in the suburbs to attend church in Atlanta that morning and then they checked out this market and bought a sweater.” ~ Benn Jordan

Flock has also partnered with Axon, who sells police body cameras capable of facial recognition, and is connected to Ring doorbells that monitor voice and video around the clock. Ring admits employees improperly accessed customers’ doorbell videos, and a former employee at Amazon used the Ring doorbell to spy on female customers for several months in 2017. Flock can now track us from the street to our front door it seems. Sounds like it’s high time we bring back those medieval brass door knockers.

Consider this:

If Flock does not use facial recognition…

❓ Why are there Flock Condor (pan-tilt-zoom cameras installed in public parks?

❓ Why are the police using mobile security trailers to mount these PTZ cameras?

❓ How can they identify suspects?

2️⃣ Flock does not track people. Recently, local authorities in Texas reportedly used Flock’s automatic license plate reader technology to conduct a nationwide search for a woman they claimed had a self-administered abortion in Texas. As part of this search, Texas law enforcement reviewed footage from more than 83,000 automatic license plate reader cameras, including cameras in Washington and Illinois, where abortion is lawfully protected as a basic right. In essence Flock constitutes a warrantless search, which flies in the face of the Fourth Amendment of the US Constitution.

ICE agents have also reportedly used Flock data to track immigrants, improperly accessing license plate data in states and localities with laws in place that prohibit the use of their resources to assist with the arrest of law-abiding undocumented residents.

A Sedgwick, Kansas, police chief used Flock Safety license plate readers to track his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend’s vehicles 228 times over four months, and used his police vehicle to follow them out of town.2

Predictive data analytics using AI is where the real money is made. Flock is perfectly-poised to extract this goldmine of data for profit. Retail chains like Home Depot and Lowe’s have Flock installed, and are also using them to combine our vehicles’ whereabouts with our personal information, our shopping habits, and our in-store behavior:

3️⃣ Flock securely stores data. Trevor told us that data is securely stored for only thirty days at a time, and then went on to state that they still keep data on hand to feed the AI Analytics machine every now and then. How is data only stored for 30 days, when it gets uploaded to the cloud of AI in perpetuity?

Professional data vulnerability consultants like Jon Gaines have also been able to “obtain shell” on Flock, which is a process in cybersecurity where an attacker gains command-line interface (CLI) access. Basically the entire system and software is open for any manipulation the hacker would like. Flock cameras also have USB drives that can be accessed with what are known as “rubber duckies”, which look like an innocent flash drive but in reality act like computer keyboards that can type malicious programs.

In December of last year, Flock left livestreams and administrator control panels for at least 60 of its AI-enabled Condor cameras around the country exposed to the open internet, where anyone could watch them and download 30 days worth of video archive, change settings, see log files, and run diagnostics. This incident was covered by 404 Media.

4️⃣ Flock does not share data. The recent cancellation of the Flock contract by Sedona Arizona happened because City officials found out they had been lied to by Flock.

“I’m in 100% agreement,” Vice Mayor Holli Ploog said. “A company that tells us on Aug. 13 that there’s no data-sharing going on, I swear, and [later] admits that it’s been going on, is not a company that we can do business with, and they’re not, in my opinion, an honorable company.

“So I would like to cancel the contract [and] remove all the cameras.”

When asked by Prescott Council why Sedona had cancelled their contract, Trevor the Flock salesman told us all that it was due to “politics” and evaded answering the question directly.

The town of Auburn WA recently found that Flock AI cameras have a backdoor software called "National Lookup" that allowed ICE to gain direct access to all surveillance records:

While Flock maintains that customers own their data and choose whether to share it, the data collected by local police departments can be integrated into larger, pre-existing data analytics platforms like Palantir, which are used by various federal agencies HHS, CIA, DOW, and DARPA.

5️⃣ Flock does not sell our data. Flock stores its data on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. Does this mean that AWS is not charging our police or government agencies for storage at all? If they are, this means we are paying to have our data stored and sold back to our local governments. If this is the case, shouldn’t the citizens get a cut of the profit from Flock?

After all, Flock is not a non-profit. It is a private company backed by private equity firms, and is valued at $7.5 billion dollars (as of March 2025). Flock Safety has raised over $950 million in total funds from venture capital firms such as Andreesen Horowitz, which was also an early investor in Substack. Thank you for researching this information!

Are we to believe that these companies are not making any money off the data they are given? By design, the system makes money by recording our data - it is the entire business model. A surveillance company saying it doesn’t sell data is like a hot dog vendor saying he doesn’t sell buns. Buns aren’t what are being promoted, but nevertheless they are bought by customers if they want to have a hot dog.

6️⃣ Flock has never been hacked. While Flock has not been officially hacked according to Flock, there are endless accounts of data leaks as well as hacks by researchers like Benn Jordan, 404 media, and cybersecurity experts like Jon Gaines. Jordan demonstrated that anyone with a web browser could view live camera feeds, access up to 30 days of recorded, unencrypted footage, and potentially delete video.

In October 2025, Flock confirmed a breach of their software, targeting a third-party vendor (Salesloft/Drift) that resulted in unauthorized access to some of their Salesforce data, but stated no customer camera data was compromised.

Let us also recall that 404 Media discovered a number of Flock’s Condor (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras were exposed directly to the internet without password protection:

If you think that only a bunch of You Tubers, Tik Tokkers and Substackers are focusing on the lies of Flock, then take heart. Benn Jordan and his work inspired the US Congressional Oversight Committee to investigate a myriad of Flock security vulnerabilities. Many of these vulnerabilities, which total in the hundreds, were recently published with the National Vulnerability Database or are in the process of publication.

While some animals move in flocks, others need to be shepherds who make sure their loved ones don’t land in the jaws of a wolf.

God gave us two eyes for a reason. Who will watch the watchers, and fly above the gargoyles of Gotham, if not for the bats who stalk justice in the forsaken night of the flock?

A few months ago Bohdanna and I traveled to Arizona to check out the state as a potential new place to live. I’ve always been fascinated with the Southwest - a place where the rugged red landscape reflects itself in the warm heart of its people. After driving through a good part of the state, we settled on the town of Prescott due to its cowboy charm, its placid lakes, and the fact that they get snow!

Our first positive experience was landing in Phoenix, “America’s friendliest airport”, and finding that the handrails of the escalators were sanitized using UV light. Honestly, we could care less about the sanitized handrails, since we have a robust immune system. However, in our view, using light instead of toxic cleaners is a quantum leap in the right direction.

One of the reasons we decided to move to Arizona is exactly for this reason: light.

I got a job selling industrial magnetic induction lights based on Nikola Tesla’s “Forever Bulb.” Since I detest LED streetlights with a passion, my focus will be on changing them out for Tesla Street Bright™ lights, which are full spectrum, don’t flicker, or emit dirty electricity. I’ll also be focused on helping farms and hospitals address biosecurity with full spectrum UV germicidal lamps called Sterile Bright®, which would replace chemical disinfectants.

These lights also help cows produce more milk, and increase meat production for cattle and poultry as the frequencies are more bio-compatible than LED.

The state gets almost three hundred days of sun on average, and has higher levels of UV than most areas of North America. If you’ve followed us for a while, you’re well aware of the massive health benefits of properly absorbing ultraviolet light into our skin and eyes.

The second reason we’re moving?

To be on the front lines of the frequency war, and help remediate skyrocketing levels of EMF brought on by AI. In the past few months, I had gotten many enticing job offers paying hundreds of thousands of dollars from solar power companies, which I had to turn down since I know how much dirty electricity many solar power inverters can produce. Right now there is an AI Gold Rush happening in Arizona, with solar power as the fuel. While the US government has passed The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) that gives homeowners a financial incentive to install solar, what most don’t know is that they are the ones whose energy and human capital is being harvested.

The AI factories of the future will not be able to sustain themselves at the current pace of electric power production in the US. The U.S. Energy Information Administration expects residential electricity rates to increase steadily by as much as 18% in the next few years, far outstripping the annual inflation rate of about 2.7%. The ugly Beautiful Bill is expected to make energy more expensive, impact jobs, and make it more difficult to meet rising energy demand. Michael O'Boyle, acting policy team director of Energy Innovation, estimates wholesale energy prices will increase by 74% by 2035, resulting in a $170 annual increase in the average household energy bill. Some 760,000 jobs could be lost.

States that are the biggest losers in terms of energy cost increases and job losses from the OBBBA are South Carolina, Florida, Texas, Kentucky and North Carolina. To make matters worse, The Department of Energy warns that blackouts could increase by 100 times in 2030 if the U.S. continues to shutter reliable power sources and fails to add additional capacity.1 This is where solar comes in.

Rise of the Phoenix

Arizona’s vibrant data center market benefits from the state’s low cost of energy and highly ranked grid reliability, due to relatively few weather-related power outages.2 Google, Apple, Meta, Oracle, Microsoft, Amazon, PayPal, American Express, and GoDaddy operate data centers in Arizona. Arizona boasts more than 233 AI-related startups, with more on the way.

Hadrian, a defense contractor, announced a total $260 million in new capital sourced from Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund. This will include a 270,000-square foot facility that will have dedicated teams focused on shipbuilding and naval defense production. Hadrian’s aim is to modernize American manufacturing by leveraging advanced automation to deliver mass-produced parts for aerospace and defense companies in a fraction of the time. The company says its system can train new employees—some of whom have zero prior factory experience—within 30 days. Until AI takes over.

Nvidia, the most valuable company in the world3, will manufacture some of its artificial intelligence chips in the United States for the first time. The chipmaker, which previously produced most of its chips in Taiwan, plans to invest up to $500 billion worth of AI infrastructure in the U.S. over the next four years. Nvidia’s AI super computers will serve as the engines for AI factories.

Apart from the practical reasons for constructing the AI capital of the world in Arizona, such as a stable climate and low energy costs, there is a deeper esoteric meaning underpinning the foundations of this revolution. The Phoenix dates back to the time of the Phoenicians and Greco-Egyptians. This mythical bird is recognized as a symbol of immortality and resurrection, having been reborn through the fire of its past life. In ancient Egyptian mythology, the Phoenix was associated with the sun god Ra, symbolizing the daily rebirth of the sun and the cycle of life and death. In Greek mythology, the Phoenix was said to live for 500 years before setting itself ablaze, only to rise from the ashes as a new bird.

The original Great Seal of The United States contained not an eagle, but a Phoenix. In 1782, Freemason William Barton had proposed a Phoenix in flames as a symbol of a renewed liberty. According to 33rd Degree Freemason and author, Manly P. Hall, the United States was founded by Masons trained in European mysticism. Hall had stated in his infamous book, The Secret Teachings of All Ages that the mysterious symbol mistakingly thought to be the American Eagle, in reality, is the Phoenix.4

The legend of the Phoenix was first told in the City of the Sun, also known as Heliopolis. Greek philosophers had written how the Phoenix was first seen in Heliopolis during the reign of Pharaoh Seth.5 Seth was known in Egypt as the god of violence and darkness, presiding over a black land. The answer to darkness? Light.

Arizona is the sunniest place in America, where a New Order for the Ages (Novus Ordo Seclorum) is emerging. We should also note the purple hue of the Phoenix, and its relation to royalty since time immemorial. This bird of the sun most represents the violet wavelength, which regenerates our nervous and immune system, and wards off disease by building melanin in our body.6 Rather than pining for artificial clouds of data in a dark sky sapped of life-giving water, we may yet tap into the cosmic source of The One Intelligence, soaring above us and through us along God’s Highway of Frequency of Fire.

Arizona’s Chinese Railroad of AI

In the 1800s, the Chinese were the largest group of immigrants to the West. Immigrants worked in a variety of trades, such as mining, small businesses, farming, ranching, and especially with the railroad. Southern Pacific Railroad hired 1,300 railroad employees for the hazardous task of extending the railroad through the Arizona desert in November of 1878.

Almost all of the employees were Chinese Americans (1,100) who worked long hours at $1 a day. These hard-working men played a major part in the growth and development of the US, as they built a railroad that eventually connected the east coast with the west coast and made travel more comfortable, faster, efficient and economical during the 1800-1900s. Today a new wave of immigration, and an artificial railroad that will tear through the ionosphere is being built.

In 2020, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) began construction of a 1,100 acre campus, and is the largest foreign direct investment in US history, with a total of $165 billion. TSMC’s chips power more than 12,000 products — from smartphones, electric vehicles to AI systems and aerospace technologies. TSMC Arizona will be the most advanced semiconductor facility on U.S. soil:

SoftBank founder Masayoshi Son wants to team up with TSMC in building a vast $1 Trillion AI and robotics complex in Arizona that could include the establishment of a free-trade zone. He has already pledged $500bn to the Stargate project to scale up US data centres and AI infrastructure with OpenAI and Oracle. Son aims to create a version of Shenzen, China’s vast manufacturing hub, in Phoenix.

While promises of a brighter future sound wonderful, all of this building and innovation has a tremendous cost, paid for by the people. For instance, a medium-sized data center uses the same amount of energy as around 300,000 households.7 The Amazon data center recently proposed and rejected by Tucson residents, would have comprised a total of 10 buildings totaling two million sq feet.8

Entire water plants are being built to power data centers and AI factories. For instance, a 15-acre Industrial Reclamation Water Plant will support TSMC’s first two manufacturing facilities, and is expected to be operational in 2028. TSMC alone will use 16.4 million gallons of water daily. The mainstream media in Arizona spins this story positively, stating that “due to the company's water reuse and recycling efforts, the city will have to provide only about 4.2 million gallons.”9 What happens until 2028? Will residents even have enough water?

The rejected Amazon data center in Tucson would have had to use drinking water for its cooling systems for at least the first two years of operation until it could switch to using treated wastewater. Local opposition group No Desert Data Center was formed to mobilize residents against the project over its water use and potential impact on the area.

"The rejection of Project Blue by Tucson City Council is a huge victory for our desert community and would not have happened without thousands of Tucsonans coming out to vehemently oppose it," the group said in a statement.

Arizona is already facing a drought, with government restrictions on water use, and AI will only boil off more steam. Professor Shaolei Ren, at UC/Riverside’s Electrical & Computer Engineering Dept., calculated the amount of water that data centers use to cool servers. Ren and his colleagues estimate that a conversation of about 20-50 questions with the AI chatbot GPT-3 "drinks" a 16-ounce (500ml) bottle of water.10 While this may not seem like much, when the model is fielding billions of queries, this adds up. Think about that the next time you do a mindless search for something your brain could probably remember anyway.

The other problem is that data centers use massive cooling towers to get rid of the excess heat.

While these towers are being lauded for their carbon and energy savings, we should keep in mind that the only energy these systems save are for themselves. Since the dawn of “energy efficient” appliances brought on by the 1970s oil embargo, technologies like switch mode power supplies have created high frequencies known as dirty electricity, which are harmful to humans and the planet. As a result, these factories will obviously be a net polluter for the region.

What’s the good news?

The key to the future lies in the rubble of the past. Having vision isn’t easy, when everyone else doesn’t want to see the possibilities. As Twain said, “when you find yourself on the side of the majority, it’s time to pause and reflect.” This adage can’t be more apropos in today’s stampede off the robotic cliff. When Interstate I-40 was being built in 1980s Arizona, it was a deathblow to many towns along historic Rte 66. However, one town survived economically, since they tapped into what so many crave: nostalgia. Ask yourself: would you rather travel on I-40, or Rt 66?

“Take Williams, Arizona, which is two-and-half-hours north of Phoenix and is a former boom town on Route 66 that was known as the “gateway” to the Grand Canyon. Route 66, the historic highway that was built in 1926, helped Williams become a major stop for travelers, bustling with shops, motels and restaurants catering to tourists en route to the canyon. Williams also boasted the Grand Canyon Railway, which began taking passengers to the Canyon’s South Rim in 1901.

But by the 1980s, I-40 was built in the name of progress, part of a nationwide highway revolution designed to supercharge commerce and tourism. It came at a cost: I-40 bypassed dozens of Route 66 towns, draining them of traffic and relevance. Many faded away into ghost towns—but Williams was an exception.

Williams was the last town on Route 66 to be bypassed by I-40, holding out until 1984 by filing lawsuits that were only dropped when the state agreed to construct three exits providing direct access. But even with the exits, the town suffered since I-40 diverted traffic around the town, rather than through it like Route 66. Even worse, the Grand Canyon Railway—once a big tourist draw—had stopped running in 1968, more than 15 years before the interstate highway was built, after the rise of the automobile undercut rail travel.

Today, the town is a bustling tourist town that was revived by leaning into nostalgia. The Grand Canyon Railway was repurchased and restored, resuming service in 1989 and soon becoming the town’s biggest employer. Williams also pushed to preserve its Route 66 identity, opening the Route 66 Museum and reviving historic buildings.”

The Grand Canyon Railway offers a connection to a past that’s more fascinating that any algorithm. We can ride along the same tracks on a train that could’ve been robbed by a horse-riding bandit, and see a close resemblance of the Old West. The Railway offers historic narration, live entertainment with Western musicians and actors, comfortable, vintage-style seating, and panoramic desert views.

Although history may be told by the victor, it’s only the more intriguing history that one really appreciates. The role of AI isn’t to tell a story, it’s to eliminate the ability for us to understand what a good book, or narrative really looks like. As we get nudged and pushed into a metallic void of no return, more of us will push back further into a past and future that transcends time itself: our spiritual connection to nature. Robotics and AI has no interest in helping humanity maintain its kinship to the past. This link is being severed, not just by AI search engines that may obfuscate the truth, but from the electrical frequencies that destroys an already-fragile nervous system.

We want to be the binding on the books humanity needs to write, so others can fill in the page. We know that a shaky hand and a cloudy mind can’t write, and a soul in fear can’t fly. This is why nourishing our bodies by reducing wanton electrical frequencies that ruin our sleep and cognition is the first step toward telling the future. This is why we’re moving to Arizona - to forge a future that honors the past, and brings us home.

To understand our relationship with light, we must first appreciate what we cannot comprehend. Light is an unfathomable force that has the power to heal, and the power to kill. The Egyptians worshiped the light from the Sun more than they adored its heat, as they understood that its life-giving force had traveled from the depths of our cosmos, beaming from brighter stars like Sirius. Many of us think of the Sun as a ball of orange fire, and forget that it is really an orb of white light.

The Western world fails to understand why wireless radiation from our devices is harmful because this world does not appreciate the invisible power of light. For anyone who has ever gotten a sunburn on a cloudy day, you know the Sun may not be shining, but its light is still going right through you. This is why organizations like ICNIRP, which help set government safety guidelines for wireless radiation globally, base safety levels solely on thermal, or heat-based effects. They maintain that after six minutes1, our skin has become hot enough from wireless radiation to warrant harm.2

Why is it that we only start feeling a sunburn hours after exposure, after we’ve sought shelter from the heat? Solar radiation, like the invisible rays of Wi-Fi, are wavelengths of light that carry with them torrents of information that our DNA decodes into a message of healing or destruction.

Today we’re faced with a decision - who has the right to rule over us, and decide what is best when it comes to the light our bodies need to live? The Sun gives us no choice, and we accept its sovereign right to exist - or at least we used to, until other Gods and Kings intervened as middlemen. Sunbeams descend from upon high with a divine decree to rule over our bodies’ exhausted peasantry, otherwise known as the mitochondria - the engines of our cells. The farmers of our biological fields, and the villagers colonizing our membranes gather round, and await their ration of daily-bred red light. Today our hamlets are starving, having been besieged with a battering ram of laser-cold blue LEDs, the likes of which even a frozen over hell could not imagine. How did our light environment become captured by those seeking to rule over us, and why is it now holding us a prisoner?

Like any other element, light can never be owned by anyone unless taken by force. Our water has been carted off to Fiji, our Earth has been raped for Tesla, and our Sun shunned by Bill Gates. How can we reclaim the L and A ir W ater? By giving reverence to the light, which tempers all elements, we may yet stand a chance to contemplate the question: Why are we…. here?

Because we are not here. As beings of light, we are everywhere - ad infinitum.

All living things absorb and use light - from the mighty elephant to microscopic bacteria, to the plants in our garden, some of which grow better in fall than summer. Astounded and threatened by Nature’s uncontrollable mystery - modern man has conveniently forgotten that light is more than heat. The light we receive from the Sun liberates electrons that are used in photosynthesis, digestion, and reproduction. Light is the electric spark that courses through the veins of God, and ignites the furnace of life itself:

The Life Force of Light

Light is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times stronger than gravity, and controls all matter with its electromagnetic force. Yet much of western science pretends that it does not exist.3 In the words of , “this is now having terminal consequences for life on Earth. The consequences for life are being blamed on microorganisms. The consequences for the environment are being blamed on climate change.”

Why does western science underestimate the power of light?

For aeons, humanity and scientists alike ascribed to the notion of élan vital, or life force. However, when the microscope arrived in 1620, Sir Frances Bacon came along and gave our intuition a crushing blow. Bacon believed that our five senses were not to be trusted, and that rigorous experiments manipulating nature would need to be conducted to prove our daily experience wrong. Whatever people could not ascribe to rational causes was chalked up to “the quintessence.”

Of the five elements of earth, water, air, fire, and aether, the fifth element, also known as quintessence, was considered the most holy. Isaac Newton himself believed that aether is what allowed “an electric and elastic spirit” (Newton, 1713) to animate our world.

For centuries before Newton, philosophers had been speculating about the nature of this mysterious substance that animated our world. Ever since the Renaissance, humanity divided spirituality from science. While this may seem like a rational approach to some, it also deters many scientists to ask deeper philosophical questions that effect the topics of research, such as “What is the force behind all of creation? If there was a big bang, what could have caused the bang? Where does light come from?”

Before the machinery of colonial and technological expansion took a foothold in the New World, humans were simpler, yet no less wiser. We didn’t question much of our surroundings, or want to conquer the heavens, because we didn’t have to. We held heaven within our hearts, and knew that we were All One, and One All. Once we began to mistrust our intuition, we had to trust the science.

Since we had a deep reverence for the stars as living beings, and loved a God that had built our earthly abode, we didn’t need merchants of climate science to tell us and sell us down the river of progress. Whether you believe in the story of the Bible or not, there is much to gain from its teachings. In the days of Noah, God had made a pact with the Earth. This treaty was ratified with a rainbow.

“I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. When I bring a cloud over the earth, the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.” - Genesis 9:8-17

While each of us may have our own interpretation of this passage, I believe the rainbow symbolizes our connection to the Heavens, and our electromagnetic bond to the visible and invisible light of the Sun. If the Sun were to weaken its magnetic field, we could see different rainbows in the form of the Northern lights descending more south than usual. If we were to try and directly weaken our heavenly bond with geoengineering, we may see chemical rainbows shimmering their false light instead. If we were to irradiate the entire earth with wireless signals, we would create an invisible rainbow.

We have lost our way, and have lunged so far forward that we’ve forgotten how to walk, let alone crawl. Today we worship the cult of technology as our savior, flying under the masked banner of health through injection, sanitized with the invisible flames of electromagnetic warfare:

Make America Healthy Again Now

How can we come together now, to revitalize our country under a banner of peace? Making America healthy again would suppose that we were a healthy nation to begin with. How can we Make America Healthy Now? is the question. Unfortunately, rainbows weren’t good enough for America, or most of the world for that matter. The lustre of greed outshone God’s convenant, as we electrified the entire Earth with the incandescent light bulb in 1889.

Our relationship with light took a dark turn as we descended down the alleyways of vanity, thinking we could control a force that was our master, or worse yet - believing other Masters of the Universe could harness our brilliance for us. King Louis XIV (1643-1715) called himself the Sun King, since he believed he was the center of the Universe. Louis XIV also believed he was a divine version of the beautiful, feared and loved god Apollo, the god of the Sun. Apollo had the ability to ward off all kinds of evils, but if necessary, he could send a plague and then avert it.4 What else, other than the Sun, could have such a power?

Asclepius: publicly electrocuted for challenging the State

As Light gives birth to Night, Apollo gave birth to Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing dreams.5 Asclepius met a tragic end when he was struck down by a thunderbolt from Zeus, the child of Cronos (time). Zeus saw Asclepius and his art of healing as a threat to the eternal division between humanity and the gods, especially following rumors that Asclepius' healing powers were able to raise the dead.

Food for thought: could it be that we are already dead in this material realm as the Egyptians believed, only to attain everlasting life upon our passing?

Or could the myth of Asclepius mean that we heal our material selves during sleep, and are thus able to raise ourselves up upon waking?

Today we can see how the same history is rhyming with so-called experts trying to control the narrative when it comes to what’s best for our health, and what’s best for the corporations that mandate our seclusion with smart cities outfitted with the thunder of electromagnetic crowd control.

The myth of Asclepius may teach us one of two lessons: 1) don’t challenge God, or you will be punished; 2) challenge the God who would strike you down, lest you use the body our True Creator gave us to heal. Unraveling these deep-seated beliefs is critical if we want to be able to heal as One nation under God.

But who is God?

Is it only your God? Is it a Sun King? Is it Trump? Who is to say?

What if God wasn’t a Being of the State, but a state of being called Love?

Humans have been taught to hate themselves for so long that they’ve forgotten how to love one another, let alone themselves. As a result, we haven’t valued ourselves enough to take what is our birthright - our orange ball in the sky, the orange glow of incandescent light bulbs, and well…actual oranges.

Ancient Orange

During the Renaissance, the orange fruit came to symbolise wealth and power among the nobility, particularly among the Medici, a political dynasty founded in Tuscany in the 13th century. In the 17th century, the Orangery at Versailles was built, and is undoubtedly one of Europe’s largest orangeries. During his reign, Louis XIV owned 3000 orange trees at Versailles.

In ancient times, orange was often associated with the gods and goddesses, as it symbolized their power and strength. In Roman culture, oranges symbolized the Sun and were associated with fertility and abundance. In Greek mythology, orange was the color of Zeus’ lightning bolts and his chariot when he rode across the sky. In Hinduism, the god Vishnu was said to have been clothed in an orange robe during certain religious ceremonies, while many Hindus believe meditation on an orange light will bring them closer to enlightenment.6 A symbol of wisdom and courage, orange is a popular choice for sarees and turbans. In China, orange was prominently featured in art and attire to signify joy, spirituality, and the balance between yin and yang.7 Indigenous cultures across Africa use orange in ceremonial attire and rituals to invoke protection from spirits or to celebrate life transitions. In Christianity, the color symbolizes the fire of the Holy Spirit and serves as a reminder of penance, sacrifice, and spiritual fervor.

The Sun King of America

Today many of us worship the God of the State, while proclaiming we only believe in the God up above. America’s Orange Man now leads our nation with a decree: to Make America Healthy Again. In a recent Executive Order called “Unleashing American Energy,”8 Trump stated his intention to “safeguard the American people’s freedom to choose from a variety of goods and appliances, including but not limited to light bulbs.” Trump’s Chronic Disease Commission will even include an investigation of “electromagnetic radiation” (EMR).9

While this is a positive step in the direction of consumer choice, the reality is that Trump does not have the authority to terminate the current ban on incandescent light bulbs. Executive orders often function more as executive opinions and still must operate within the limits of federal law, which means this Executive Order cannot repeal existing Department of Energy (DOE) regulations.

What are the current DOE regulations pertaining to light bulbs?

From a recent article by Inside Lighting:

1. The 45 lumens per watt standard remains in effect. While this requirement is established under federal law, the Department of Energy (DOE) can modify efficiency regulations through its rule making process, which includes public comment, regulatory review, and potential legal challenges. Congress could also change the law directly, but this is not likely or expected.​​​​​​​

2. Executive orders cannot override statutory requirements. They can direct federal agencies to review or adjust how regulations are implemented but cannot change the legal framework underpinning those regulations.​​​​​​​

3. Traditional incandescent bulbs are still non-compliant. Manufacturing or importing incandescent bulbs that do not meet the efficiency standard remains prohibited under federal law.*

*The current ban is only on the manufacture and sale of incandescents, not their usage (yet).

My colleague Mark Baker at The Soft Lights Foundation10 is at the forefront of fighting the battle for healthier lighting. On January 21, 2025, Mark filed a FOIA lawsuit against the FDA for unlawfully withholding documents related to decision making involving LED products. In 2005, Congress passed the Energy Policy Act, which stated its goal of developing alternatives to incandescent light bulbs that were more energy-efficient and cost-competitive. The Soft Lights Foundation contends that the US Department of Energy did not meet these objectives because Light Emitting Diode technology:

1. is not “energy-efficient” when compared to the incandescent light bulb*

2. LED light is hazardous to human health, including causing acute reactions such as seizures and migraines

3. has more environmental impact, not less, due to its solid state electronics.

Which bulb looks simpler to manufacture?

Why are LEDs not energy efficient?

The common belief of LEDs being more energy-efficient is false. Even though a 60-watt incandescent bulb may cost $9.50 more per year to operate than a 9-watt LED11 the energy produced is not the same. An energy efficient replacement is one that provides the same quality of service as the previous product, but using less energy.

“In DOE’s own words, LEDs are a directional light source with unique characteristics (e.g. spikey spectral power distribution, square wave flicker, spatially non-uniform directional light). Thus, LEDs do not meet the requirements of the 2005 Energy Policy Act and an LED is not energy efficient as compared to an incandescent.”

Watts a Lumen?

The current DOE regulations are based on standards set over one hundred years ago in 1924, and based on a measure of brightness called lumens. The light you buy at the store is rated in lumens per watt (L/W). Watts are a measure of power. The lumens we receive today from a typical LED bulb only give us light in the color spectrum of green and yellow, while depriving us of all the colors of the rainbow:

By measuring lumens, we only account for the light we can see, and discount the invisible. Quality is more important than quantity - especially when it comes to light, and chocolate. The characteristics of light are measured in wavelengths (nm) and the length of the wave determines the biological effect. For instance, incandescents emit infrared as well as UV, which not only helps to heat our home during the winter months, but helps our organs detoxify by increasing melatonin. There are a multitude of health benefits to seeing all the colors of the incandescent rainbow:

Stealing more light

The rule by the DOE to ban manufacture of any bulb with an efficiency less than 45 L/W removed incandescents from store shelves, and in 2028 sales of light bulbs performing at less than 125 L/W will also be banned. As Americans struggle to find healthy light bulbs, a few alternatives still exist, such as “zero blue” LED violet bulbs, red light bulbs to protect melatonin, as well as broad spectrum circadian LED bulbs that mimic natural daylight. Most of these bulbs currently operate under 125 L/W, and would also be banned as 2028 approaches. This means biologically-friendly LEDs on the market like NIRA will not be available:

Blue light for mind control?

If energy efficiency isn’t the main reason LEDs are being rolled out, what could be the US government’s motivation to remove the healthier parts of the light spectrum? We know that artificial blue light can damage our retina, as well as alter our mood by changing normal levels of dopamine.12

Neurosurgeon Jack Kruse recently appeared on The Danny Jones Podcast, and expressed the following concern13:

“Obama banned incandescent bulbs b/c incandescent bulbs not only have fake blue light, they also have purple and red, which is what you need as the antidote to blue. This isn't about energy efficiency or better picture quality, it's about creating an environment where we're constantly exposed to the type of light that can be used to manipulate our minds.” ~ Dr.

How can we make America incandescent again?

Like the Sun King, President Trump has admitted to his own vanity. This is why Trump made headlines in 2019 for joking that LED bulbs gave him a bad look.

Even though Trump may not admire his own orange hue, incandescents contain the orange wavelengths that our bodies need to live, and look beautiful. Why not help Trump, and all of the Kardashian wannabes out there, realize that LEDs are making them ugly? Inflows from the palaces of Hollywood would help the economy switch back to the industrial-scale manufacture of incandescence.

What are screens costing our beauty?

Olle Johansson, associate professor and head of the Experimental Dermatology Unit, Department of Neuroscience, at the Karolinska Institute (famous for its Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine) in Stockholm, Sweden, is a world-leading authority in the field of EMF radiation and health effects.

Johansson has published more than 300 original articles, reviews, book chapters and conference reports within the field of basic and applied neuroscience.3

In one of several related studies14, Johansson found a profound increase in mast cells in facial skin samples from people whose skin had become toxified with wireless radiation. Mast cells regulate our immune response and play a key role in the inflammatory process. For example, when mast cells detect a substance that triggers an allergic reaction (e.g. pollen) or electromagnetic poisoning (e.g. Wi-Fi or blue light), they release histamine and other chemicals into the bloodstream. Histamine makes our blood vessels expand and the surrounding skin itchy and swollen.

“For me, it was immediately clear that persons claiming skin reactions after having been exposed to computer screens very well could be reacting in a highly specific way - especially if the provocative agent was radiation.”

Johansson began to study the skin of these patients, and proved that they had a real skin condition that was provoked by sitting in front of a computer screen. The damage was similar to that caused by ultraviolet radiation from the sun. He also showed that the radiation from computers causes measurable changes even in the skin of “normal” people, and also in the skin of laboratory animals.

Professor Johansson named the new disease “screen dermatitis.” However, since such individuals also usually complained of other symptoms, such as chest pain, memory loss, fatigue, insomnia, dizziness, nausea, and headache, the more general term “electromagnetic hypersensitivity” came into use. Artificial blue light and wireless radiofrequency interferes with natural skin pigmentation.15

Similarly, radiofrequency rides along the surface of the electrical wiring in our home (the skin effect). When applied to the human body, RF creates a layer of electrosmoggy-sunblock around us, that clogs our pores with radiation, not allowing us to detoxify and repair our skin with natural light.

It seems as if AI filters, personas, and avatars are coming at just the right time, just as the beauty of those exposing themselves to endless selfies has tarnished - the digital stimulus that caused the problem is now creating the solution. As of 2022, the direct health care costs of dermatitis (face + other areas) were $10,474 per patient per year.16

Shedding some light on reality

Given current energy codes17, commercial buildings are unlikely to revert to incandescent lighting. This leaves the residential market as the only viable space where traditional bulbs could regain popularity.

Well before the DOE standard of 45 L/W took effect, major lighting manufacturers had been dismantling production lines for standard incandescent bulbs, scrapping the equipment needed for large-scale manufacturing. Restarting production would require significant investment.

“Certain specialty incandescent bulbs remain legal in the U.S. and continue to be sold. For example, Philips still manufactures specialty incandescent bulbs for specific applications. The company's website also lists standard 60-watt A19 incandescent bulbs for certain global markets.

From Inside Lighting:

“With nearly all domestic light bulb manufacturing shuttered, any resurgence of standard incandescent bulbs would likely rely on imports - likely from China, a key source of manufactured light bulbs. Given President Trump’s well-documented opposition to Chinese imports, this factor alone could further complicate any large-scale comeback of traditional incandescent lighting.”

A Golden Dawn, or a Blue Flicker on the horizon?

In his first secretarial order, Trump’s Energy Secretary Chris Wright directed the department to initiate the “comprehensive review” of the department’s appliance standards program. “The Department will pursue a commonsense approach that does not regulate products that consumers value out of the market; instead, affordability and consumer choice will be our guiding light,” Wright said.

While a new administration could weaken enforcement or introduce regulatory loopholes, significant changes may still face legal and legislative hurdles. For now, the federal light bulb efficiency requirement of 45 lumens per watt remains in effect, which effectively bans most traditional incandescent bulbs.

Since Trump won, the left wing is in shock, and the right wing in awe.

What both parties need to remember is that the American Eagle’s destination hasn’t changed, and both wings are propelling the flight of tyrants to Mars.

Throughout history, there has always been a kingmaker - the one who selects the leaders we elect.

However, when our emotions run high, logic runs low. Those who hate Trump may now hate him evermore. Those who love Trump may be blinded.

Emotions cloud reason, and if we cannot see the situation clearly, we cannot prepare for and respond to it with any degree of control.

Why don’t we take a step back, take a deep breath, and ask ourselves:

The media always knows how to make the most of any situation. Like a chameleon, they morph into a snakeskin suit that adjusts to the light of the dark masses. Captains of social media ride the titanic waves of our subconscious, and push the ships of our souls full steam ahead into the nearest socioeconomic iceberg. Let’s take a cold plunge into those icy waters of reality we call 2024, shall we? After all - we should all have gained some vision since 2020.

Google and Facebook can already predict who is going to win the election. If you’ve ever seen the 2018 documentary “The Creepy Line”, then you’ll understand that social media companies steer us into slaughterhouses of delusion, masked as freedom of choice. Search results are tailored based on our search history, down to the first letter. If those who own the software can find what our hearts and minds are searching for, how can we not consider that tech execs already know who is going to win?

If Mark Zuckerberg surely knows which way the political wind blows, why wouldn’t he stoke fires in the minds of men?

Cui bono?

Let us ask again, who benefits from a Trump presidency, and from recent social upheavals like Hurricane Helene? Not the middle class, many of whom are already becoming invisibly shackled to technology that is rooted in hope and fear. When the Sept 11 attacks happened, the approval ratings of George W. Bush skyrocketed.

Enter Elon.

He has been at the forefront of expanding our current military-industrial surveillance state with Starlink satellites that operate on NATO’s C-band frequency, along with championing transhumanist initiatives like Neuralink. Normally, any American conservative would meet these policies with disgust. Musk has gained many followers from the political right as he began to tweet about wanting to “destroy the woke mind virus”, along with questioning the safety of vaccines.1

We’re all in this to get Her

Since the dawn of civilization, the power-hungry have sought to rule Mother Earth. Whether it’s “liberating” other nations by “spreading democracy” with bombs, or claiming that only our God is on the righteous side, the war for the soul of a nation begins with suppressing the hearts of the people. When the pandemic first began, many acquaintances told me what “we need to do” to get through “these troubling times.” Assumptions were being made that a consensus reality was reached. In fact, the motto “we’re all in this together” was a presumption, akin to the aggressive sales technique of steamrolling over one’s objections.

The new presumption that is being broadcast to both left and right sides of the political spectrum is that humans can avert the catastrophe of global warming by:

1. using more technology to communicate and function, such as electronic vehicles and satellites;

2. building rockets that destroy Mother Earth, trust the science, and settle Mars, while ignoring the fact that these rockets aren’t for you or I.

The high priests of the global technocratic religion recite an algorithmic scripture that would rupture our connection with the stars, seeking to create a ChainLink of artificial intelligence and social credit scores that would be our prison planet.

Who benefits the most from disasters?

Since the events of Sept 11, funding for surveillance technology has exploded in the US, with some government budgets increasing by 600% in the last twenty years.2 Before the attacks, we didn’t have to walk through a microwave body scanner*, or drive across the border being photographed before presenting an electronic passport.

PRO TIP: *you can opt-out and get a pat down, which is a great way to help TSA agents keep their job, rather than having a robot grope you instead. The pat down also preserves the destiny of your genitals and genetics.

When Hurricane Helene struck Asheville, a political maelstrom ensued. Elon blamed the US government for a slow response. Trump accused FEMA of spending more resources helping immigrants cross the border. The winds of change were here, and once again the media held America’s pulse firmly in their technocratic weather vein. As the battered people of Asheville struggled to survive, many needed a strong leader to give their lives some order through the chaos.

Big Daddy gives his children Big Red candy

Just as a father would tell his child to go down to the basement and play video games, or go outside so he could be left to his own devices, Big Daddy government rolled in a wireless mesh that allowed others to be tethered and addicted to their screen while their country was being handed over to the babysitter of Big Tech.

The telecom industry has always had to adapt to harsh weather conditions, and maintain coverage in the event of an outage. The difference with recent disasters like Helene is the fact that crews and networks are becoming mobile. Rather than focus on restoring infrastructure and repairing fiber, companies are focused on expanding their coverage area. Note: increased coverage equals more potential users, which results in greater amounts of data being harvested.

During the attacks on the World Trade Center, many cellular networks went down. Verizon swept in to save the day, and loaned out more than 6,000 devices to first responders. Across Washington and New York, coin-operated pay phones turned into a vital link to loved ones. Even President Bush used a phone that could be connected to a POTS (plain old telephone) during the attacks. Although it’s using encryption, this phone also has an analog interface that can transmit a fax.

During the 2022 Wildfire season alone, Verizon loaned more than 1,700 Verizon devices, including tablets, hotspots, repeaters, smartphones, and routers to first responders across the West. In 2021, Verizon unveiled THOR - a mobile, private rapid-response command center vehicle.

The Tactical Humanitarian Operations Response (THOR) vehicle was first shown at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, continuing an ongoing partnership between the Verizon Public Sector and the Department of Defense. With capabilities ranging from mobile, private 5G UWB to satellite, to commercial and onboard drone options, to the ability to be operated remotely from a tablet, THOR could be considered the Swiss-Army Knife of Frontline operations. Verizon Frontline is the advanced network and technology built for first responders, developed over the last three decades in a corporate-government partnership.

A wireless arsenal, a red fleet of robots

Verizon employees and websites consistently refer to their fleet of assets as an “arsenal.” Most of their vehicles are red, which like a firetruck, convey a sense of first responder urgency to public. The red fleet includes:

• Over 550 portable network devices, including generator-powered cell sites, drones, and a fixed-wing aircraft for aerial support.

• An industry-leading nearly 300 satellite-based portable network assets, providing crucial connectivity in scenarios where fiber connections are compromised.

• More than 1,000 mobile generators to assist communities in maintaining or restoring connectivity, and rapid recovery efforts.

• International 4300 Truck Communications and transport for Hazmat response equipment

• Big Red Community Outreach big rig vehicle with 24 internet-connected workstations

  

• Wireless Emergency Command Center (WECC) A mobile communication center with workstations and charging stations open to the public

• Store on Wheels (SOW) A fully stocked mobile store supplying devices, equipment and technical support

• Tactical/Mobile Command Trailer Command/Communications mobile center for public safety teams.

Temporary mobile cell sites with standalone power (notice all the animal names):

• Satellite Pico-cell on Trailer (SPOT) Mobile connectivity satellite trailer solution that can deploy eFemtos* and/or WiFi to first responders. *Femtos are basically small, portable modems that work as a cellular base station, i.e. a mini-cell tower in your home.

  

• Satellite Cell on Light Truck (SAT-COLT) Mobile cell site equipment with onboard masts that also includes satellite equipment

  

• Cell on Wheels (COW) Trailer based mobile cell site equipment that may or may not have self-contained masts

• Satellite Trailer Universal Design (STUD) Trailer based unit w/1.8m satellite dish capable of functioning as a temporary satellite connection or can serve as a full mobile cell site. 

• LTE as a Mobile Asset (LAAMA) Trailer-based LTE asset with pop up mast and antennas in a small form factor.

Reach out and bite somebody

Verizon’s solution for getting network connections to hard-to-reach and potentially inhospitable destinations is a quadrupedal robot resembling a dog. A team of robotic dogs from Ghost Robotics wielded by the company’s Frontline response division.

Verizon’s robo-dogs have a degree of agility wheeled machines lack. They can remotely traverse tough terrains, such as a wildfire-ridden mountain, with modifications that might come in handy in times of trouble. For Verizon, these modifications mostly include networking hardware.  They can also facilitate a connection to a satellite, as many satellites don’t have great line of sight.

I remember when robot dogs were first being conceptualized, designers said “we’ll never put a gun on it.” Well, they’ve armed man’s best enemy - the robot dog. The robo-dog with the gun is not currently being sold or used by Verizon, but will be on the market soon for defense contractors.

Are we building robot dogs because they are cheaper than a land line?

Or could it be that the industrial-military complex needs them for a SkyNet of communication?

Reading between the net

When Helene hit, telecommunications companies like AT&T were given access to FirstNet®, a communications band traditionally reserved for only emergency responders. The need for a first responder network with a dedicated spectrum was recognized in the wake of September 11^th 2001, after first responders found it difficult to communicate over the congested cellphone network. In 2012, Congress passed the Spectrum Act. This act set aside part of the highly desirable spectrum in the 700 MHz frequency band, known as Band 14, which was to be reserved exclusively for emergency communications. Low-band spectrum like the 700 MHz band provides several advantages, including the ability to better penetrate walls and other obstacles.

In the decade since the Spectrum Act was passed, the FirstNet® network has expanded and can be accessed by 99% of the U.S. population. This rapid expansion in coverage can be attributed to AT&T’s strategy to give FirstNet users access to all bands on the AT&T network with priority over non-FirstNet users. This means that if there is a signal, FirstNet users will have coverage, even in remote areas where Band 14 may not be deployed yet.

The greater implications of this network are that in the event of an emergency, AT&T will give FirstNet® users priority over non-FirstNet users and, if necessary, drop all commercial traffic and dedicate the network exclusively to first responders, along with the extended primary group as bandwidth allows. For this reason, a normal cellphone might stop working during a crisis, but a FirstNet® enabled device will continue to work.

How will business owners, or anyone who does not choose to be on this cellular network communicate? Who is the privileged “extended primary group?”

Satellite Saviors

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the satellite messaging feature of Apple Inc.’s iOS 18 has been lauded as “a crucial lifeline for survivors.”3 As Hurricane Helene left thousands without power and cell service, Apple’s satellite messaging feature began being used by those affected by the storm. Introduced via the iOS 18 update, the Messages via Satellite feature for iPhone 14 and later models allows users to stay connected everywhere, even in remote areas.

Musk has said approximately 500 Starlink kits are being deployed by private individuals and organizations to help with recovery efforts. The company is waiving costs in affected areas. 

One user stated that the satellite messaging feature was “literally saving lives.” Another person highlighted how the feature allowed him to contact his son amid the communication blackout. Many people urged others to update to iOS 18 to gain access to this potentially lifesaving feature. Companies like T-mobile often use similar unverified statements of not enough cell towers “costing lives”, as they did during recent proceedings in Durango, Colorado.4

While we do not want to belittle what the survivors of the storm went through, it’s important to maintain our sense of reason, especially when primal emotions run high.

Are we to believe that tech companies, and Elon Musk, really want to save lives, or are there other motives? If Musk and other technocrats have billions, and profit is not the only motive, what else is driving them to create a wireless infrastructure?

The Pure, Super-Secret Sand That Makes Your Phone Possible

Nestled in the Appalachian mountains, the community of Spruce Pine is known for its hiking, local artists and as the source of the purest natural quartz - a species of pristine sand - ever found on Earth.5 This ultra‑elite deposit of silicon dioxide particles plays a key role in manufacturing the silicon used to make computer chips. In fact, there’s an excellent chance the chip that makes your laptop or cell phone work was made using sand from this obscure Appalachian backwater:

Semiconductors are the brains of every computer-chip-enabled device, and solar panels are a key part of the global push to combat climate change. To make both semiconductors and solar panels, companies need equipment that can withstand extraordinarily high heat and be kept absolutely clean. Only one such material fits the bill.

Quartz that comes, overwhelmingly, from Spruce Pine.

“As far as we know, there’s only a few places in the world that have ultra-high-quality quartz,” according to Ed Conway, author of Material World: The Six Raw Materials That Shape Modern Civilization. Russia and Brazil also supply high-quality quartz, he says, but “Spruce Pine has far and away the [largest amount] and highest quality.”6

Conway says without super-pure quartz for the crucibles, which can often be used only a single time, it would be impossible to produce most semiconductors.

“Purity really does matter,” he says. “You're talking about a process to create the silicon wafers that later become silicon chips, where one single atom being in the wrong place” could derail production.

Companies have been pursuing artificial substitutes, but so far, those alternatives can't satisfy the world’s demand for this pure quartz.

Economy 101 tells us when supply goes down, demand goes up. He who owns the gold makes the rules. In the age of AI, he who owns the quartz, predicts and makes the rules. Many homes, farms, and properties were destroyed by Helene.

Here’s an insightful perspective on the chaos by :

“Who will be buying up all of these properties? That would be those who’ve been lurking in the shadows for years trying to buy-up homes and farms that sit on top of the vast lithium and quartz crystal deposits of this region.

In April of this year the NC Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources approved Piedmont Lithium Mining’s permit for a brand new $1.2 billion lithium mining operation in Gaston County.

On September 24, 2024, just a few weeks before hurricane Helene came into existence, Albemarle Corporation, “…a global leader in providing essential elements for mobility, energy, connectivity and health…” submitted permit applications to redevelop Kings Mountain Mine located in Cleveland County, about 30 miles west of Charlotte NC. Albemarle is the worlds largest lithium mining company. They have already bought up the church, the drive in theater and the furniture store in Charlotte. Albemarle’s maneuvering began in 2023 when they applied for a grant from the Department of Defense. Recently the DoD and DoE approved a total of $250 million in grants to Albemarle to gear up for Kings Mountain. Anthony Stasio MCEIP director, said this “… agreement with Albemarle demonstrates the DoD's ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of our warfighter, today and in the future," "This investment directly supports President Biden's April 2022 Presidential Determination for Critical Materials in Large-Capacity Batteries.”

What he’s referring to is the huge demand for lithium to run all of the modern weaponry that now depends on batteries and computer chips made from the lithium and high value quartz crystals - respectively - both of which underlie Western North Carolina.” Source

Lita Shon-Roy, the president and CEO of market research firm TECHCET, has been tracking the supply chain for semiconductors for two decades. She says it’s amazing that the industry hasn’t been more concerned about the vulnerability created from relying on this one region of North Carolina for a crucial material.

“Every time I’ve asked in the last two decades, the question always comes back, ‘Well, where else are we supposed to get it?’ “ she says.

The United States and China are in a global competition to secure access to raw materials for semiconductors and green technology. Frantic searches are underway for new deposits and new methods, across a range of minerals.

But when it comes to pure quartz?

“I haven’t heard of any viable sources yet to replace what’s in North Carolina,” Shon-Roy says.

The wireless fallout of radiation

The pied piper led our children away to die, with a beautiful song. Today many believe in a savior that will come to free them from the bonds of “the other” - whether it be another politician, agenda, or toxic injection being imposed upon them. Trump has cozied up to RFK, who vows to make American Healthy Again. I’m all for taking fluoride out of the water, but if we turn a blind eye to the invisible, exponential dangers of wireless radiation, then we’re only subjecting ourselves, and the entire biosphere, to the greatest catastrophe that humankind has ever encountered.

Many don’t believe that wireless or artificial light can harm them, but this is only because those individuals don’t feel the radiation. Those who have become electrosensitive by being electomagnetically-poisoned do. However, many can’t speak up for themselves to be heard as they are truly a prisoner of their own home, or may be sleeping in their cars to avoid wireless, and many can’t even use a desktop computer.

Fortunately, I am in contact with many such brave individuals, one of whom has been devastated by Helene - first by the storm, then by the wireless arsenal. Local governments have installed “Community Care Stations”, which include free Wi-Fi.

My colleague reports from the scene:

“There is a tremendous concentration of wireless activity from the mobile hot spot to a giant tent where people can charge their devices. Then there are people sitting around, waiting for their laundry to get finished with each person holding a phone to pass the time. These stations are concentrated places for wireless. One might as well be camped out next to a 200-foot cell tower. The branding of them as "Care" stations couldn't be more ironic for those of us who have suffered microwave injury.

I’ve experienced symptoms of parasthesia (pins and needles) and my head feels like it has been put in a microwave. At one of the stations, the attendant had a cell phone that was particularly toxic to be around.

As my turn came up to get my water refill and I reached the front of the line, I got light-headed and my knees buckled with the exposure to the radiation from that device. I still have the bruises on my legs from falling to the ground. It's a good thing I wasn't carrying glass bottles to be refilled or they would have shattered as they hit the asphalt surface.”

Those whose ears have been shattered by the song of reality can hear the lies.

Isn’t it time we begin to listen?

Here’s a token for our thoughts, sent to me by a friend:

“The Trump psyop is so multi-layered and undeniably genius.

The establishment has successfully conditioned both parties to focus on Trump for all the wrong reasons.

He's not Hitler, like Democrats think. And he's not a savior, like Republicans think.

He is a very convincing, consuming, and charismatic actor, who will absolutely be selected this election, so he can continue to distract supporters of both parties.

Meanwhile, the technocrats and global cabal who fund them will move forward with implementing all of the policies we've been successfully distracted from.

They will "end the Fed"... and replace it with CBDC.

They will "control the borders"... with biometric surveillance.

They will implement a "voter ID"... that will become your digital ID.

They will present "The Everything App"... that will manage your social credit score.

On our recent trip to Colorado, we visited with a professional colleague and friend, Nancy Van Dover. Nancy is not only a holistic veterinarian, acupuncturist, and botanist, but is also a prisoner - of her own home since 2020. Nancy hasn’t voluntarily locked herself in due to a pandemic, but instead is seeking refuge from a cell tower and wireless infrastructure that has been rapidly increasing in Durango, Colorado since 2019.

Although the common belief is that electromagnetic sensitivity (EMS) is not an official diagnosis, and may be psychological, I would argue the opposite. Our brains, hearts, and bacteria, use electricity to live. It’s hard to know how many suffer from EMS because this illness has only recently been recognized within the ICD (International Classification of  Diseases). As a result, no regular statistical information has been forth coming.

Two ICD codes describe illness caused by exposure to radiofrequency radiation (W90.0) and exposure to other non-ionizing radiation (W90.8). Another fact that should give legislators pause is that major insurance companies like Lloyd’s of London don’t cover harm from electromagnetic fields.1

Shielding against EMF

Bohdanna and I not only had the pleasure of staying in Nancy’s EMF-free yurt, but we also had the privilege of learning how she applied shielding throughout the rest of her home.

Shielding is an extremely delicate and complex process, and needs to be done with the guidance of a professional. I hear from many individuals who have used Y-shield paint, like Nancy, whose symptoms of radiowave sickness worsened after application.

Coloradans fight back against wireless

Groups in Durango, Boulder and Denver have joined over 100 organizations around the country supporting Americans for Responsible Technology, which lobbies in Washington, D.C.

La Plata for Safe Technology, an affiliate of Coloradans for Safe Technology, wants to see the city use fiber-optic cable instead of wireless infrastructure, like Longmont and Chattanooga, Tennessee. They want businesses to have accommodations, like no Wi-Fi days, for people with the condition.

In the Colorado Legislature, several groups aim to repeal or replace House Bill 17-1193, which allowed small cell facilities in public rights of way.2

Residents oppose a cell tower in Durango

On Tuesday, October 15th, Fidelity Towers (“the applicant”) President Neil Wiser and his son, Wyatt Wiser had hoped that the hearing before La Plata County commissioners would end with a vote to approve their permit to erect a cell tower at the intersection of County Roads 501 and 502, south of Vallecito and Lemon reservoirs. However after 90 minutes of vehement objections from neighbors of the proposed tower, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCO) voted to conclude the 4.5 hour meeting by postponing the decision until October 29th.3

The proposed cell tower would be positioned to provide coverage to the 2,000 residents of the Forest Lakes subdivision as well as around 3,000 commuters on county roads 501 and 240, Fidelity President Neil Wiser told the board.

Its coverage radius fills in a gap between three nearby towers.

Those in opposition to the tower argued that Fidelity should consider building the cell tower next to a county-owned pole located on Grassy Mountain above Vallecito Reservoir.

The site would not adequately meet the coverage goals of the project, Wiser said.

Diana Boudreaux, who lives on County Road 502, argued before the board that longtime residents of the area had moved there, specifically because of its lack of connectivity.

Other than the applicant, no one offered comment in support of the project.

“Where are all the cell tower supporters from Forest Lakes?” said Gregg Janus, who lives near the site.

T-Mobile muddies the alpine water

The vote to continue with installation of the cell tower was voiced primarily by Marsha Porter-Norton and Matt Salka, which came after commissioners raised questions about an alarming, but unsupported claim contained in a comment letter submitted by T-Mobile at the eleventh hour.

The letter stated that the carrier has heard from emergency responders in the area that the lack of cell coverage “has cost lives.” Mason Dyar, speaking on behalf of the Upper Pine River Fire Protection District, told the BOCC the department does not support that position.

Looks that kill

We’re told to believe that the Telecommunications Act (TCA) of 1996 allows the FCC to preempt state or local legal requirements that regulate how cell towers are built in the municipality.

Believe it or not, this law made it so that municipalities can’t argue against EMF on the basis of health or safety. Section 322 (c) (7) (B) (iv) reads, in part:

“No State of local government may regulate the placement, construction, and modification of personal wireless service facilities on the basis of the environmental effects of radio frequency emissions to the extent that such facilities comply with the Commission’s regulations concerning such emissions.”

This is only a partial truth. The TCA also specifically states that it doesn’t preempt the ADA (Americans with Disability Act). Anyone who qualifies as disabled according to the definition in the ADA and could be injured by wireless radiation, does have the right to ask for antennas to be denied that would injure them - an EMS disabled accommodation. 

“Disabled” is a different category than “health” concerns” by the general public.   Commissioners have the duty to protect EMS disabled citizens, to give an accommodation request a “true accommodation process” which includes a meaningful, interactive dialogue to come to a solution that works.  Within 1000 feet of the proposed site at the gravel pit in Durango lives a woman who qualifies as disabled by EMS due to history of a brain tumor.

If this cell tower is approved by the commissioners, she will be forced to move from her home or to take a huge risk with brain cancer.     

We the people really do have more power than we know, and can also exercise our power through an economic argument, rather than one based solely upon health concerns.

A 2005 study published in The Appraisal Journal found that 38 percent of survey respondents felt that a cell phone tower being built in close proximity to their house would reduce their property value by 20 percent or more.

The National Institute for Science, Law, and Public Policy found that 94 percent of home buyers and renters would pay less for a property located close to a cell tower or antenna, and almost 80 percent stated they absolutely would not rent or buy property within a few blocks of a cell tower.4

Given the overwhelming concern about aesthetics of the tower, commissioners opted to take a harder look at the project’s conformance to the land-use code. The board also said it would request clarification from T-Mobile on the allegation that lives had been lost due to the absence of cell coverage.

The BOCC will consider the meeting, without reopening public comment, at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 29 at the County Administration Building in Durango.

In our increasingly technocratic society, on a limited income, how/can I live within my ecological means and enjoy peace between my ears?

As far back as 1912, people afflicted with tuberculosis1 flocked to the dry air and potent Sun of the desert Southwest. Those who have been electromagnetically poisoned may find some relief among the area’s red granite rocks of our grandfathers, as this stone is an electrical insulator.

Today there’s a band of outlaws that have come to town, stampeding on horses under the banner of public service. These digital desperadoes are trying to drag the People of the Desert out of their shady saloons of reprieve, and out into the unforgiven streets, with wireless six-shooters called smart meters. The sheriffs are outgunned, and the barkeeps are stunned.

The Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) is applying for a second time to the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (PRC) to replace all utility meters in its service areas with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (“AMI” or “smart meters”). AMI allows the utility company to save labor costs, as meters can be read remotely, without a technician on-site. The application by PNM includes a cost-benefit analysis (CBA), which is being contested by local residents.

New Mexicans for Utility Safety (NMUS), led by , recommends that the PRC (“the Commission”) should reject the CBA because it does not consider the costs of the AMI component of PNM’s application to the health, safety and welfare of all New Mexicans as required by the Public Utility Act. The Commission ordered PNM to address the health effects of AMI in a public input process before bringing another smart meter proposal to the Commission for approval. PNM has utterly failed to do.

No net public benefit | No evaluation of alternatives

In 2018, the Commission evaluated the cost-benefit analysis submitted by PNM in light of all the evidence, including the costs to health. In the Commission’s report, under the section entitled “Health concerns” it states:

“A great deal of evidence has been presented on the health effects of smart meters and the extent to which all or a subset of the population experience health effects. There was evidence of the thermal and non-thermal effects; cancer effects and non-cancer effects; “measurable physiologic abnormalities” and “symptomsthat warrant medical treatment”…

Dr. Gelmann and Mr. Firstenberg agreed that the most common health effects identified by patients are sleep disorders, tinnitus, and dizziness. Mr. Firstenberg also added nausea, headaches and heart palpitations to the list.

The evidence, however, does not indicate how many people are sensitive to the electromagnetic emissions from smart meters, the extent to which smart meters, including the particular AMI meters proposed by PNM, may cause or aggravate the condition compared to the emissions from other sources of radio waves in the environment. The Hearing Examiner, thus, cannot, based upon this record, make definitive findings on the health impacts of emissions from PNM’s proposed AMI Project or recommend that PNM's Application be denied on the basis of adverse health conditions.

… These are issues that can and should be addressed in a public input process of the sort PNM stated in its 2012 Report that it would conduct before bringing a smart meter proposal to the Commission for approval.”

PNM’s “public input process” asked customers only whether they were “concerned about electromagnetic sensitivity”, not about the health effects of smart meters as it was commanded to do. PNM deliberately excluded New Mexicans for Utility Safety, and all other parties concerned with those health effects, from its purported public input process; from its stakeholder meetings, and even from its settlement conference in the current proceeding.2

The application by PNM to install smart meters is part of a proposed overhaul to the entire power grid, or Grid Modernization Project, which falls under the Public Utility Act. The PUA makes the protection of the public health, safety and welfare a primary responsibility in all of the Commission’s actions.

The Legislature did not mention health, safety and welfare in the Grid Modernization statute because it did not have to: the Grid Modernization statute is part of the Public Utility Act.

Deaf ears to a public outcry

The number of scientific studies, evidence of severe health effects, and the magnitude of public opposition to AMI smart meters are now even more extensive, but have been not only ignored by PNM, but ruled “irrelevant,” and excluded by the Hearing Examiner. This is contrary to law.

NMUS has already addressed the total exclusion of all witnesses and evidence relating to health and environment from this proceeding. 3 NMUS highlights the total and illegal exclusion of the huge public opposition to AMI when considering the costs of this technology.

The Hearing Examiner even scheduled the prehearing on the CBA at the exact same time as the public comment hearing on the CBA, 2:00 P.M. on April 18, 2024, thus guaranteeing that neither he nor any of the parties would be able to hear those public comments; guaranteeing that the parties could not use those comments in any way in their briefs, or the Hearing Examiner in his Recommended Decision, since they have not even been transcribed.

“All interested persons are afforded the opportunity to have input into cases which affect them.” - PRC rule

Input that is not considered or heard by the decision-maker is not input.

Hearing the silenced

Throngs of injured and concerned individuals are screaming at New Mexico, by way of 431 written public comments and a large number of oral public comments, not to follow the rest of the country off the cliff and to finally set a precedent for health, life, and the planet.4

As of June 11, 2024, 431 members of the public have submitted written comments into the record of this case. Of the 464 commenters whose names and testimonies are in the record, 460 oppose PNM’s application for Grid Modernization.

Some of the commenters are New Mexico residents who have experienced smart meters prior to moving there; others are New Mexico residents who have experienced smart meters while traveling; others are residents of parts of New Mexico that already have smart meters; and others are people who live in the rest of the country and the rest of the world who have experienced smart meters that have been forced upon them. Among them are doctors, psychologists, nurses, and other health practitioners.

The following are excerpts from some of the comments:

“From the time the smart meter was turned on, I could not write an email, I could not think and I could not sleep. It was an absolute nightmare until it was switched off.” - Maryann McCabe

“The radiation [smart meters] emit inside apartments creates for myself, a constant burning pain to my skin.” - Lauren Bond

“My mother died of a massive brain tumor caused by a row of smart meters outside her condo, on the wall where the head of her bed was.” - Jeanne Thompson

“I had to move because of the horrific radiation my property was surrounded by, that was given off by the smart meters on every house in the local survey that were destroying me and my family’s health.” - Richard Flook

“I have seen hideous debility in adults and children secondary to Smart Meters being installed in my area.” - Dr. L. Thomas

“how sick the smart grid has made me since 2010,” that “I have to fight for my life on a daily basis,” and that “the blueberry farm had no bees and could not make a living or sell produce to its customers.” - Charlene Bontrager

“I have experienced headaches whenever I'm in the house for an extended period of time,” and that “we are no longer having birds visiting in our backyard as we used to.” - Mary Boncher

“I was severely negatively impacted by smart meters. They were installed at my job as a hair stylist, and within a few months I had massive radiation poisoning symptoms. My hair was falling out and I was diagnosed with leukemia… New Mexico is a safe haven for me, so I think smart meters should be banned.”

“Over the past 6 years since the installation of a smart meter on my home, I have noticed that there are almost NO hummingbirds visiting the feeders. Anna's hummingbirds overwinter here and previously, the feeders were busy year round.”

Robert Workman, a Building Biologist, sent a video “of a client who had a stroke and broke out in hives.” He writes: “This meter has been torture to myself and others in St Louis, it is my professional opinion this meter kills all biological life.”

Sema Kelly opted out, but her neighbor had a smart meter put in:

“She didn't know it had such dangers, but soon found out her chickens in the yard had huge tumors growing on their throats and body. The eggs they laid were odd shapes and colors, and the chickens appeared to be tired, which was not ever seen prior to the installments of the smart meters.”

“I don't hear as many songbirds now as I used to before 2016. Pollinisation of fruit trees in my backyard seems to have been affected as well. A bee-keeper neighbour has lost her beehives.” - Marie Roulleau (had meter installed in 2016)

“I know people who have been egregiously harmed by them, people who were healthy until installation of a so-called smart meter drove them from their homes in agony and turned them into EMF refugees.” - Phoebe Anne Sorgen

“I had a smart meter installed a few years ago and after only a short time, had to move out of the house until it was removed… My neighbour, an 80 year old man, also had a smart meter installed at around this time – and (maybe coincidence) went from being extremely lively, active, outward-going to hobbling around and forgetful within 6 months. He died within 18 months.” - Sarah Wild

“The smart meter was installed without our informed consent… I attempted to hatch fertile chicken eggs in an incubator in my house and after 21 days, not one egg hatched. Further examination showed that not one egg started to grow any fetus. I tried this 2 times and the same results with well over 20 fertile eggs each time.” - Dino DeBenetti

“In 2013, smart meters were instituted within my neighborhood… I incurred inner ear damage, and health issues from inability to sleep due to: anxiety, non-stop heart palpitations, and migraines. I literally fled from my home after two months of the above, and stayed with a friend who did not have smart meters in their neighborhood—FOR THREE YEARS—because I felt death would have occurred within weeks if I had not done so.” - K. Blomquist

“On the day they were getting installed, I walked outside and had no idea where I was. I had the worst kind of disorientation. This reaction was ongoing and lasted for the first few months… The vertigo attacks have only gotten worse in the past three years… My son is a teenager and he started having issues as well. The dry mouth, headaches, and sleep disruptions being the worst for him… After the installation of the smart meters, my neighbor's big dog suddenly got cancer and died. My cat started acting differently as well. We used to have a lot of bats around here which are great for eating all the mosquitoes, but I have not seen any bats in the past year or two.” - Tina Cada

Iwona Wnuk, writing in German, says that his wife developed heart arrhythmia and high blood pressure and fainted on the day a smart meter was installed:

“Am selben Tag ging es meiner Frau sehr schlecht. Sie bekam Herzrythmusstörungen, sehr hohen Blutdruck und fiel in Ohnmacht.”

I have been forced from 3 previous home locations because of smartmeter installations.” - Stephanie Dickerson

“When our meter started transmitting, I noticed two birds that had died within approximately 25 feet of it.” -M.L.

When a smart meter was installed on my townhouse approximately 6 years ago, my cat developed Hyperthyroidism. I also went from Hypothyroidism to Hyperthyroidism.” - Simone Prince

Sirpa Autio is a family physician who has “13 smart meters on the wall downstairs from my apartment. I am practically disabled by now after just 3 months in the apartment.”

“My late husband died of a brain tumor (glioma) 10 years ago, after a row of smart meters were put in place outside the wall where his head was as we slept.” - Wendy Lang

“For nearly 7 years [my neighbor’s] meter was on the side of the building about 12 feet from where my head rested while I slept on the other side of the driveway. During that time I developed tinnitus, trouble sleeping, heart palpitations and a melanoma on the top of my forehead opposite their smart meter.”

“I started having trouble sleeping… I would stay awake all night long… I also developed blood clots that were so huge… I actually stuffed my nose with Kleenex before going to sleep, worried that I might choke on the blood during the night. Consciousness ebbs and flows in the present, where no time, only potential exists. If we could remain present for ourselves and the health of our loved ones for a New York minute, then the whole world would change overnight. Synthetic electromagnetic radiation is the only pollutant that can be stopped instantly with a flip of a switch, whereas chemicals may take years to remediate.

Millions of New Yorkers are flipping the switch for their health, and honorably defending their cobblestone streets against an artificial 5G landscape that would forever deface and transform the heart of the Big Apple. Odette Wilkins, who was recently quoted in a New York Times article, “Does New York City Really Need These Giant 5G Cell Towers?” is a working group member at the FCC, organizes the National Call for Safe Technology, and is taking action on the front lines of 5G. Odette recently wrote a position paper1 that clarifies the argument on why 5G isn’t safe, necessary, sustainable, or solving any type of digital divide. In fact, this fifth generation technology is doing exactly the opposite.

To understand how New York has arrived at this momentous place in time, let’s first take a stroll down Wall Street’s memory lane.

A Wall of Independence

The Dutch were the first Europeans settlers of New York (NY) City, establishing a trading post called New Amsterdam in 1626. In 1664, the NY territory and its surroundings came under English control and were renamed New York after King Charles II of England granted the lands to his brother, the Duke of York.

In 1765, the British government needed money to afford the 10,000 officers and soldiers living in the colonies, and resolved that colonists should contribute. The British passed a series of taxes aimed at the colonists. Guess what? Americans didn’t take to this proposition very well, and refused to pay taxes, arguing they shouldn’t be held accountable for taxes which were decided upon without their consent. The British Parliament insisted on its right to rule the colonies despite the fact that the colonists had no representative in Parliament.

Taxation without Representation is what led to the American Revolutionary War.

The Battle of Brooklyn was the first, as well as largest battle of the Revolutionary War to take place after the United States of America declared its independence on July 4, 1776. General George Washington and the Continental Army attempted to maintain control over New York, as the city was a prime strategic location for the British. Washington was unsuccessful, and the city was seized by the British in 1776, remaining in their control until the end of the war.

Located at the southernmost part of the island, the Dutch erected a defensive wall to help keep out the British along with pirates. Although this wall was never used for its intended purpose, years after its removal it left a legacy behind it, and is now known as Wall Street.

After the Declaration of Independence was read to the Continental Army in New York on July 9, 1776, a boisterous crowd of soldiers, sailors and citizens headed to the huge gilt lead equestrian statue of King George III, which had been installed on Bowling Green only six years earlier. The crowd toppled the lead statue and melted it down to make guns and 40,088 bullets.2 This is just one example of many that shows just how tenacious and resourceful New Yorkers can be when put to the test.

After America writhed out of its birth canal in New York, the nation was finally born in this city as well. Based in present-day Manhattan, New York served as the capital of the United States from 1785 until 1790, and swore in George Washington as the first US President on the balcony of Old City Hall.3

Although Wall Street never served its purpose in defending against foreign marauders, the financial capital may yet have some fight left, once the city realizes that {enemy} advances don’t always lead to profit. Today the people of New York are battling back invisible raiders of the airwaves, who seek to dominate their town with unrelenting wireless machinery that doesn’t serve the Land of the Free, but makes a Home for the slave. Like many other towns in the world today, New York will have to choose whether it wants to be reborn as a mecca for technocrats, or shine as a city on the hill for all humanity.

A New World Boarder

The name York finds its origins in the English language and can be traced back to the town of Eburos, which was situated in what is now modern-day Yorkshire, England. York is believed to have been originally derived from the Old English words Eofor and Eaburna, which together mean “boar-stream.”

Have you ever wondered why only the nobility of the Middle Ages were allowed to hunt boars? Wealthy Roman gentry would often keep wild boars in their very own private parks. The proximity of the boars also allowed owners to serve an exotic meat to guests on special occasions. The meat held not only a material value, but was also coveted for its spiritual treasure.

The boar holds a place in not only the history of York, but in our world history of religion. Sacrificial boar-gods common to both Scandinavian and Middle-Eastern traditions began with the Indian cult of Vishnu, who claimed to create the world by virtue of his self-sacrifice in boar shape.

Vishnu said the blood of his boar incarnation had the creative power that only the Mother’s blood formerly had:

“Gods and creatures arise out of the sacrifice, for the sacrifice is their appointed food. Everything will always arise from the sacrifice this whole universe is made of the sacrifice.”

As the phallic god who gave his life for humanity, he was worshiped in conjunction with the Goddess by Germanic Aryans who, as Tacitus said, “worship the mother of the gods, and wear as a religious symbol the device of a wild boar.”4 The Germanic boar-god became the doomsday-averting Savior and Lord of Death, in both human and porcine form.5 He was identified with Heimdall, the Norse deity who would sound the Last Trump at doomsday on his ringing horn.6 Heimdall keeps watch for invaders and the onset of Ragnarök (Doomsday) where the burning rainbow bridge Bifröst meets the sky.

“I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

Heimdall was “made strong with the force of the earth, with the cold sea and the blood of the sacrificial boar.”7 Like most of the gods described in ancient texts, in dying he begot himself again. The boar-god was sacrificed especially at Yule, with an apple in his mouth, symbolizing his regenerated heart-soul, according to the Scandinavian belief that apples were resurrection charms.8 Hence the traditional Yule pig was roasted with an apple in its mouth.

How does all this relate to The Big Apple, and our planet’s current situation?

New York City is on the sacrificial chopping block. We have broken a natural covenant, and have introduced an Invisible Rainbow of non-native electromagnetic radiation, that is quickly extinguishing life on Earth. Electrosmog is rapidly encroaching on our atmosphere, replacing our rainbows with radiation, as hazy skies are laden with more satellites than stars.

We can resettle a New World like the Dutch settlers gone before us by resounding the clarion call from within our soul. Instead of pairing with bluetooth, why not vibrate in resonance with the magnetic tusks, horns, and antlers of Mother Nature? We live in a world of dualities, playing our part to be good, evil, male, female, bringers of doom, or saviors. However, saviors can only accomplish their goals by enduring the suffering of personal sacrifice.

Why are New Yorkers fighting 5G?

From Odette Wilkins:

“Community boards are increasingly rising in opposition to the Link5G cell towers.  Sixteen community boards to date have either disapproved or called for moratoria on these towers.  This represents 40% of the 40 community board districts currently being considered for Link5G installations, up to 800 community board members, and an average of about 2 million residents.

This represents more than one-quarter of the NYC population.9 Elected officials are hearing increasingly from their constituents that they are opposed to these towers in their neighborhoods. Several community boards whose districts have been designated as equity districts are bristling at the branding and the accompanying mandate of an exorbitant number of cell towers in their districts, currently, up to 117 towers just in a single district.

The message has been clear, they:

DO NOT NEED Link5G Cell Towers &

DO NOT WANT 5G.

NYC community boards have expressed serious problems with these installations that range from:

• aesthetic blight

• ill placement in historic districts

• lack of privacy and security

• rat infestations

• adverse health impacts

• adverse environmental impacts to birds, bees and trees

In this article, we’ll discuss how New York City could be a template for positive change in taking back our planet Earth, and address why 5G will only weaken the people, their economy, and the cultural heritage of New York City.

Why is 5G seen as advanced?

Again - let’s get some perspective from history. In 1889, the telegraph was able to ramp up the trading speed between Wall Street and other global financial centers such as London.10 As one got closer to Wall Street, they would notice that the telegraph wires became thicker, allowing for increased transmission speed.

Today, we’re bombarded with commercials telling us 5G will be faster than 4G. While this may be true, this does not consider the fact that the internet isn’t solely run on wireless communications, but has massive packets of data that are transmitted via a fiber connection. New wireless technologies, although they’re praised as “lighting-fast” are nothing of the sort compared to fiber optics. For instance, “Gig City” Chattanooga, TN, has the fastest internet worldwide, and leases city fiber to telecomm providers, rather than leasing provider's’ fiber to the city. New Yorkers are waking up to the fact that they should hop on the hardwired Chattanooga choo-choo.

Flaming towers of progress incinerate our culture

On April 20, 2023, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) notified CityBridge, the NYC franchisee and site developer for the Link5G cell towers, of its failure to comply with environmental and historic preservation reviews otherwise required under federal law – under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).  Those reviews are required prior to construction.  However, CityBridge has already constructed and installed 107 towers throughout the City.11

The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) is the lead city agency in charge of these installations. Ms. Wilkins’ position paper12 corrects OTI’s assertions of safety, federal oversight, digital equity and privacy and provides a comprehensive analysis of the many adverse implications of the Link5G cell towers, e.g., insufficient fall zones, failure to meet the legal threshold of a gap in phone service to justify imposing these towers in our neighborhoods, and incidents of adverse impacts on first responders from wireless exposure. 

The Link5G towers should have been subject to a new RFP (request for proposal) and to Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) that should have involved the community boards.  The base franchise agreement with CityBridge referred only to 9-1/2 foot tall “kiosks” with free Wi-Fi, but in Amendment No. 3 to the agreement, OTI proceeded with a vastly different structure (3-1/3 times taller with a multi-tenant set-up) than originally contemplated under the base agreement and the RFP.  The Link5G structures are not tiny. They are giant, free-standing, towers about 32’ tall, or 3 stories in height, with housing for multiple 4G/5G antennas being almost 20’ high. The plan is to install a minimum of two-thousand 5G cell towers in the entire city.

“These are 32’ or 3-story towers with no setback requirement on how close they can be to any structure, be it a home, school, hospital or business, or how close they can be to vehicular or pedestrian traffic.  This means that in the event of structural failure, the towers may collapse onto nearby structures or onto the street, risking serious property damage and personal injury. Although the CEO of CityBridge, Nick Colvin, recently assured Manhattan Community Board 7 that the structure would not fall, he said that the tops of the poles are made of light plastic that can fall off, but assured the Community Board that no one would get hurt. Despite Mr. Colvin’s assurances, there is no clearer evidence that these structures are not safe for the public.”

In a letter about a proposed site at 184 E. 7th St. in the East Village, advocacy group Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation wrote that a tower would obstruct the view of the “highly detailed, well maintained historic buff brick facade with intact limestone details” of an adjacent building, and from certain vantage points, “visually impede on sightlines to Tompkins Square Park.”13

Rsidents of Carnegie Hill on the Upper East Side say new LinkNYC 5G towers would violate the historic look of the neighborhood, which stretches from East 86th Street to East 96th Street and from Third Avenue to Central Park.

“We deserve the best design possible for our streets, and to re-utilize the existing infrastructure, and that’s a big word that means street lights, newsstands, power pits, so it does not unduly affect the effects of a historic streetscape while still increasing broadband access,” preservation consultant Simeon Bankoff said.

“[Cell anntennas} can be put it on top of buildings. We know there are other ways to do this, and Link5G says this is the only way,” Assembly member Alex Bores added.

Property values: the #1 argument to remove cell towers

New Yorkers prize their economy. The city was built upon the backs of immigrants, and the city’s financial horsepower depends on its cultural vitality. However, these new towers now threaten both the monetary and cultural value of New York.

From Ms. Wilkins:

“The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) classifies towers under “Hazards and Nuisances,” and requires real estate appraisers to report if a property is within the fall zone of a tower.[1]   Although HUD does not appear to have a definition for “tower,” the FCC’s definition for a Tower: is any structure built for the sole or primary purpose of supporting FCC-licensed antennas and their associated facilities.” Link5G towers fall squarely within the FCC’s definition.  Being that Link5G towers are being placed just feet from residential structures, the homes are within the fall zone of the Link5G towers.

HUD’s Federal Housing Administration (FHA) insures mortgages and requires that the property “must be free of all known hazards and adverse conditions that:

• may affect the health and safety of the occupants

• may affect the structural soundness of the improvements

• may impair the customary use and enjoyment of the property.

The FHA will not underwrite mortgages for properties that meet the criteria for “unacceptable sites:” 

“A.   UNACCEPTABLE SITES

FHA guidelines require that a site be rejected if the property being appraised is subject to hazards, environmental contaminants, noxious odors, offensive sights or excessive noises to the point of endangering the physical improvements or affecting the livability of the property, its marketability or the health and safety of its occupants.”

Moreover, any proximity of the property to certain conditions must be noted by the appraiser:

“… The appraiser must evaluate whether the property is free of hazards, noxious odors, grossly offensive sights or excessive noises that may:

-  endanger the physical improvements

-  affect the livability of the property or its marketability

-  affect the health and safety of its occupants

“If any of these conditions exist, recommend correction of the problem or rejection of the property and explain.”

In addition, in determining eligibility for an FHA insured mortgage, the appraiser is required to identify “inharmonious land uses:”

“The appraiser must identify all inharmonious land uses in a neighborhood that affect value.  Clearly define the current and long-term effect that inharmonious uses will have on the market value and the economic life of the subject property.  If inharmonious land use represents a serious detriment to either the health or safety of the occupants or to the economic security of the property, clearly note safety of the occupants or to the economic security of the property - Recommend that the property be rejected by the Lender.”

HUD also looks at the marketability of property:

“The demand for home ownership in a neighborhood is directly related to the marketability of the homes in the neighborhood or in competitive neighborhoods.”

There are potential buyers who do not want to live near cell towers. In some areas that have cell towers, property values have gone down by as much as 20%.14 

Up to 30% of NYC Population Experiencing Symptoms

There may be adverse implications for the economy and workforce as more NYC residents become affected by exposure to wireless radiation.  With each new “generation” of wireless technology, including 5G, people are being further exposed to wireless radiation which they cannot avoid.

The U.S. Access Board (which advises the Justice Department and other state and federal agencies under the Americans with Disabilities Act) notes that a U.S. National Institute of Building Sciences survey of a representative region found that 2-6% of the population are sensitive to electromagnetic fields, referring to wireless radiation. Based on a population of 7.888 million people in NYC in 2023,[the numbers would range from 157,760 to 473,280 people. 

A 2019 study15 by Michael Bevington analyzed the prevalence of symptoms from radiation sickness within the population.  Based on the same number, the results are also high:

Contrary to CityBridge’s assertion (during the June 7, 2023 hearing at the NYC Council’s Committee on Technology) that 5G is safe, in reality there has been no pre-market safety testing for 5G, as established by Senator Blumenthal in 2019.16 Three recent 5G case studies since January 2023 consistently show biological effects.1718 19 The studies show that non-ionizing radiation from 5G — well below levels allowed by authorities — can cause serious health problems in individuals who had no prior history of electromagnetic sensitivity (EMS).

In its presentations to community boards, OTI failed to address that there are any scientific studies showing harm.  This is despite the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision in 2021 that acknowledged the 11,000 pages of peer-reviewed scientific studies submitted into the FCC docket showing harm below the FCC limits.  The Court ruled against the FCC20 and remanded back its limits for failure to review those studies,or examine its effects on children or long-term exposure. To date, the FCC has failed to update its limits dating back to 1996, and can no longer be viewed as protecing the public’s safety. The FCC is an agency captured by the telecomm industry.21

This is Our Town

Continued from Ms. Wilkins’ position paper:

“City officials have been misled to believe that their ”hands are tied,” and must accept 5G deployment as a matter of federal preemption.  That is incorrect.  A 2022 case in federal district court in New York struck down an FCC rule that strips local authority over the placement of cell towers, underscoring the federal Second Circuit standard that places the burden of proof on the telecom carrier to prove a gap in phone service and to show that in filling that gap they are using the least intrusive means possible.  CityBridge has admitted in a community board meeting that they do not have any reports showing a gap in phone service.22

During the June 7, 2023 hearing, a Committee member asked OTI if there were any complaints of adverse health effects.  OTI responded that franchisees are contractually required to comply with the FCC emission limits.   In not answering the question posed, OTI failed to disclose that in Jan 2023, they heard comments from a police lieutenant in Queens Community Board 1 (Astoria) that when an antenna was placed on top of a utility pole outside his third floor window, he was severely injured experiencing heart arrythmias, sleeplessness and other symptoms.  Only when he evacuated his house did the symptoms disappear.  Others in NYC have also been severely injured.  Although requested, OTI has done nothing to move that antenna.”

Creating a digital divide

Continued:

“LinkNYC kiosks were designed to provide public Wi-Fi.   Instead, Link5G structures are cell towers designed to house multiple 4G/5G antennas from multiple carriers for private customers, in addition to Wi-Fi.  Ultra-high-band 5G being used for the free Wi-Fi will extend only about 500’, which will provide only incidental access in the home to the extent that it reaches that far, and yet no customer service in case the service goes down in the home.

The US Government Accountability Office (GAO) reported that 5G deployment is likely to exacerbate disparities in accessing telecommunications services.

Moreover, the National Digital Inclusion Alliance testified in Congress that “5G will not solve the digital divide” and 5G service will require 5G capable cell phones, which the underserved, low income households, will likely not be able to afford. As to the longevity of a 5G phone, telecom carriers have been advising their customers to turn off 5G on their cell phones to save battery life on their devices.

In fact, the New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) spotlighted the major underlying flaws of the LinkNYC project, how it has “failed to deliver on its promise to improve New Yorkers' access to the internet and close the digital divide” and that it does not “offer the speed and reliability of a broadband connection.”23

The NYCLU suggests that NYC “deliver affordable fiber broadband to all city residents so they don’t need to huddle in the street [in front of LinkNYC kiosks] in the first place.” It has been theorized that “a city-owned municipal network would understandably upset regional mono/duopolies Verizon and regional cable giant Charter Communications (Spectrum).”

In the BigApple Connect program, NYC is paying out $90 million to provide free fiber broadband for 3 years to about 400,000 people in public housing in NYC, who, after those 3 years, will find themselves having to pay market rates to a company that will then have a monopoly in providing services to them.  Instead, NYC could have applied that $90 million to pay for the $156 million to build an open access fiber network where all service providers could compete and join other cities doing the same that are able to provide “better, faster and cheaper broadband.”24

Fiber is our future

A transition from wireless to fiber would be easy, because 4G and 5G depend on fiber optics.  Fiber optics are already running up the pole of the cell tower to supply energy to wireless antennas.  The environmentally-friendly alternative would be to extend fiber a few feet or yards to the premises (FTTP) – to homes, businesses, schools, medical facilities, in short, to all locations.  Keeping telecommunications infrastructure underground would also limit any aesthetic blight that would lead to a decline in property values. Wireless equipment also has a much shorter life span (about 5 years), and requires continuous periodic maintenance and replacement, whereas fiber has a life span of 25-50 years.    

CityBridge will be building out New York’s fiber optic network for free.  However, there is already a fiber optic network built out by Verizon, apparently, to many parts of the City, and CityBridge has been reported trying to connect to Verizon’s already existing fiber. In addition, the fiber run is only to the pole, not fiber to the premises. This means that residents will get the shorter end of the stick, with the lagging speeds that wireless offers, including 5G.25

My question is - how are we going to repurpose all those towers after we don’t need them anymore, like the colonists did the statue of King George III? It’s not like all those parts can be recycled. My top three ideas are to convert them into:

1. Standalone charcoal grill ovens to cook hot dogs

2. Citronella towers to combat the humid city’s mosquitoes

3. Stop signs when we have flying skateboards like in Back to the Future.

Does anyone else here remember that version of the future that was sold to us, that doesn’t require us to sit in electromagnetic radiation chambers called Teslas?

Wise cities are our smart future.

One thousand years ago, there was victory at Stamford.

For any history buffs out there, you’ll know that the Battle of Hastings in 1066 was a landmark event that ended in the defeat of the last Anglo-Saxon King, Harold II of England, by William, duke of Normandy, and established the Normans as the rulers of England.

Mainstream historians tell us that this marked the end of a barbaric, backwards era of infantry, hand to hand combat, and shield walls. Barbaric, yes, as the barba-rossa, or red-bearded Anglo-Saxons, were finally overwhelmed in 1066.

However having a good supply of infantry was certainly not backward, just as being a protestor with a sign and a solid handshake can often go much further than one million likes on the polarized internet ghettos of instagram.

This was the Battle of Stamford Bridge, near York England on September 25th 1066, when King Harold II, at the head of the main Anglo-Saxon field army, defeated what turned out to be the last Viking invasion of England.

If it were not for the decisive death of King Harold at the Battle of Hastings, the good old-fashioned tactics of the Anglo Saxons, using shield walls, could have very well held up and won the day. From military historian Neil Faulkner, in his article Stamford Bridge: The Last Anglo-Saxon Victory:

“Lack of good infantry was sometimes a problem. But medieval rulers wise enough to raise and deploy them – or simply to employ their noble men-at-arms on foot – invariably found them as capable of withstanding charges of heavy horse as their peers in other periods.

The Scots pikemen of Falkirk and Bannockburn…did not so much represent a return of infantry to battlefield predominance as a continuation of an unbroken infantry tradition obscured by feudal and romantic myth.”

The 21st Century Battle of Stamford

Last month, the Board of Representatives in Stamford Connecticut rejected an agreement, brokered by the governor, that set terms for allowing telecommunications carriers to install 5G equipment on city-owned utility poles.

Why Stamford?

For one, it is a rich town, and its residents may have more time and money to invest into looking after their health.

If you remember from my previous article “How do children become addicted to cell phones?”, I cited how Silicon Valley execs like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates didn’t even give their own children wireless technology.

If we’re told cell phones are safe, then why do certain citizens and areas like Stamford believe wireless is a concern?

From the article by Angela Carella, Stamford Rejects Deal Allowing 5G on City-Owned Utility Poles:

“Twenty-one city representatives Wednesday decided against accepting the state’s template for applications by telecoms that seek to place antennas and other equipment on poles in public rights of way. 

Representatives said they were persuaded by research presented during an October meeting of the board’s Land Use Committee claiming to show that 5G technology can cause brain damage, headaches, memory loss, damage to reproductive organs and the nervous system, and genetic damage, as well as harm to trees, birds, insects and wildlife. 1

They rejected the state’s application template despite advice from Gov. Ned Lamont’s mediation panel and city attorneys who said they would lose in court if telecom companies are prevented from using public utility poles and they sue.

Federal law prohibits local governments from legislating on the alleged health risks of radiofrequency radiation emitted by 5G antennas, the attorneys said. “

Yes you read that right - safety doesn’t come first, but last, when it comes to the industrial flames of progress. This is why many towns are fighting 5G installations based on aesthetics and property values, as I cited in this article:

City Rep. Sean Boeger said the possibility of losing in court should not be a factor in the deliberations of legislative bodies.

I applaud representatives like Sean Boeger for their fearless attitude.

City Rep. Don Mays, an engineer and retired safety officer for a telecom company, said he questions the findings of the panelists who addressed the board last month. The range of 5G is short, and radiation falls off as you move away from it, Mays said.

“The worst offender is not these small cell towers (atop utility poles) and it’s not 5G,” Mays said. “Most radiation exposure is from cellphones. That’s the way to eliminate radiation exposure, but how many people are willing to give up their cellphones? We’ve become dependent on them. They cause radiation even when we’re not talking on them. We’re exposed from inside our homes.” 

I second Don here, at least on this point. So many of us rally against “the towers” yet we refuse to cut out the root of addiction and consumerism that grows antennas like leaves on a tree of fallen humanity.

An increasing number of people have no land line or fiber optic connection, city representative Eric Morson said, and “they rely completely on cell service. There is a growing need for cell service because, for more people, it’s the only option. Maybe the greater risk is not being able to communicate from your home.”

Why don’t more of us have fiber connections?

Could it be that the wireless industry faces less government safety regulations, and is more lucrative as a result?

“The EPA has no funded mandate nor dedicated staff to maintain expertise in the area of non-ionizing EMF. The EPA also stated they are not aware of any developed safety limits or research reviews related to impacts of wireless on birds, bees, wildlife and the natural environment.”

“So far Stamford has delivered the only rejection among the five cities targeted in the mediation initiated by Lamont’s office to advance faster, wider-ranging mobile technology for Connecticut residents and businesses.

Al Smith, an attorney with Murtha Cullina who represented the cities in the state mediation, said Thursday that officials in Bridgeport and Hartford have approved the template, and New Haven and Waterbury have not yet acted.”

Attorney Joseph Sandri, a former Stamford resident and one of the panelists who spoke during the board’s committee meeting last month, called in to voice his opinion 

Sandri was among the attorneys in a 2021 case, Environmental Health Trust vs. Federal Communications Commission, in which the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Washington, D.C., Circuit ruled that the federal agency failed to explain how its regulations protect the public against any harmful effects of wireless radiation. 

The case challenged the FCC’s 2019 decision to leave in place regulations dating to 1996 which determine how much radiofrequency radiation exposure from cell phones, cell towers, Wi-Fi and wireless networks is safe. The premise of the case is that the dated guidelines do not consider possible harm from radio frequency radiation at lower levels, and effects of the widespread use of wireless devices that exists 27 years later.

Time to strike like a grounded Anglo-Saxon:

“The FCC rules are now under remand in federal court, and the FCC still has not explained why the rules have not been updated,” Sandri told the board. “The city has the right to independently monitor wireless networks for compliance with the FCC’s ancient exposure rules, so the city should be given the opportunity to object” to telecom applications to place 5G antenna on publicly owned utility poles.

City Rep. James Grunberger cited the FCC’s defeat in federal court in making his argument to reject the state’s recommendation for telecom applications.

“The federal government does not have guidelines for long-term exposure, so we need to protect our city ourselves, and not succumb to legal threats,” Grunberger said. “Each of these small cells on these poles contains up to 100 antennas, and they’re close to people’s windows. We should assert our ability to reject these antennas. We have to err on the side of caution.” 

Mays said a strong case is to be made for better cellular coverage, given all the dead spots in Stamford.

“It’s not just an inconvenience; it inhibits businesses. You may not be able to make a 911 call from your home, or from your car or when you’re out walking.”

If more of the public understood that pretty soon they won’t be walking, but crawling, as all of Earth dials 911 with “dead spots” of wildlife, then we would be less concerned with calling the police, and more concerned about the last call we’ll ever make to loved ones, as the relentless invasion of radiofrequency on our peaceful island of Earth ensues for an eternity.

How far does the radiation from my cell phone travel?

The signal goes out forever. It does not just travel to the nearest cell tower, and it does not travel in only that direction. It goes on forever, in all directions, as long as there are no hills or objects in the way. It pollutes your entire neighborhood and it travels upward to the sun and stars. It just keeps on going.

Those few people who owned an analog cell phone back in 1996 may remember how far apart cell towers used to be. As long as there were no hills in the way, you used to be able to get a signal from 90 miles away. The only reason cell towers have to be so close together today is because a single tower can only serve a limited number of people. The more users, the more towers have to be built. Also the more bandwidth, the more towers have to be built: using cell phones as computers and not just phones means there have to be a lot more towers. That, and the fact that digital signals are more subject to interference than analog signals. But the radiation still goes on forever.

The contract templates for 5G are between the telecomm companies like AT&T, Verizon, and cities like Stamford. According to the CT Governor’s office, if Stamford wants to change the terms of the contract, they must approach Verizon, etc.

Fiber Optic Networks Improve our Economy

Two American cities, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Longmont, Colorado, decided to make the most of it when broadband (fiber) networks became available in 2009. Chattanooga's electric company the Electric Power Board even built its system with assistance from federal grant money.

During the first three years of the broadband network's existence (2009-2012), home values in Chattanooga increased 14 percent and median household income rose 13.5 percent, even as the state government cut almost 3,000 jobs.5 In 2014, Longmont rolled out NextLight, a municipal broadband system that allows residents to download data at a rate of one gigabit per second for about $50 a month.
