I really like your passion and dedication to understand what the hell is going on.
Respectfully, here are some tips from someone who has spent a lifetime discovering how electricity and electromagnetism work, I hope they help so please dont take this as sarcasm, if we are to bring awareness to emf exposure we need to be clear and speak to the right people with the right terminology to get them to listen.
Firstly, there are countless sources of stray emf.
Did you get rid of your wifi router?
Your cellphone(s)?
Any smart appliances?
Cordless Phone(s)?
Bluetooth, Smartwatches, Airpods?
Did you make sure all your neighbors did as well?
Does your neighborhood have any 5G repeaters?
All a/c transmission lines radiate powerful 60Hz em fields and can even illuminate loose flourescent bulbs in close proximity.
Did you know the typical wireless smart meters only transmit a minute low power signal for less than a few minutes per day, and sit dormant emf-wise the rest of the day?
They do communicate through the home wiring and take measurements 24/7, recording all of the data in preparation to transmit to the power company in that short few minutes.
There are stations on power poles located periodically wherever smart meters are in use.
As for shielding.
Your emf meter picks up a signal through the shield because there is emf everywhere all the time, it isnt just coming from your meter.
Any signal a smart meter transmits is usually in a wide cellular range but of less power but it will sometimes seem to measure around 60Hz because the predominant electrical wiring field overpowers it.
Heres another good fact to know.
If you touch an oscilliscope probe to your finger inside your home, it will read around 60Hz because of that dominant em field of the home’s wiring
What about the Schumann resonance?
The earth’s Schumann resonance varies from 12-14 Hz and is ever present, it is a vibration however, not an electromagnetic field.
A lot of people throw that one around to sound fancy or woowoo, but it isnt an em field at al
We should know what the word frequency means, so many say it in incorrect context and those who are unfamiliar dont understand what is being suggested because they just hear a word they think sounds technical without knowing what it means or refers to.
A frequency isnt a thing and so many people use the word wrong and anyone who is informed as to electromagnetism that we wish to make listen to us will discount what we are saying if we dont get the terminology right.
When I say “frequencies” arent things, I mean frequency is a unit of measurement of the length of a single +\- cycle of a sine wave or one electrical +\- cycle that imparts a force into a electromagnetic transducer (speaker) using the inductive process.
An electromagnetic waveform can be induced into wiring with a primary coil as in a transformer.
When one says frequencies, one could also be speaking about frequencies of sound, which are the “physical result of the waveform of the amplified electrical signal influencing the medium through which it is propagated by a physical transducer”
Sound is a much different thing than emf.
And it cannot get “put back into” electrical wiring.
And finally no matter what you do, while inside a home or building you are immersed in a primary electromagnetic fog 24/7 either 50 Hz or 60Hz thanks to the inductive process of your body being the secondary of this transformer circuit.
While in your home the dominant primary em field is the emf from the home’s wiring.
This is called induction and it is how electromagnetic fields affect your physical body, and the dielectric nature of the body decides the level of inductance which is measured in a unit called Henrys.
I dont tell you all this to mock or make you feel uneducated, I offer it to help you since you seem to care about what you are aiming to accomplish.
Someone shared all of this with me over the years and I hope to do the same for anyone who will listen.
Good luck, and I hope this helps you make yourself clear to those who know, so you receive a more respectful reaction to whatever youre trying to convey bevaus sometimes when we speak of this stuff and the inherent dangers, people think we are nutcases.
great article! (and videos) - i am so glad you were able to get rid of your "smart"meters as well as help others do so. even in calif, where we have had the opt out since 2012, most people don't know they have a choice. yes it costs a few dollars each month for 36 months: $5 for low income,$10 otherwise, plus an initial one-time opt-out fee, it was (and i think still is) $10 for low income, $75 regular - that is still very cheap health insurance. some US states now have opt-outs but many don't - i haven't yet heard about people using a medical exemption in the US, great idea for states without an opt out.
bummer. do you know of anyone who has tried a medical exemption like Roman did? might be worth a try. another possibility if that doesn't work could be to have the meter moved further from your dwelling, like to the outside of an outbuilding / detached garage or even to a post at the edge of the property (assuming you are in a single family dwelling). as with all wireless radiation, distance is your friend, and you cannot turn off a s'meter.
I just had a thought -- could one of the reasons lead paint was banned was because it shielded from emfs and thermal imaging? Maybe they couldn't see inside your house if your house was painted with lead?
I reduced emf from my smart meter 100%. I removed it. Unfortunately there are infinite sources surrounding us all. Same is true for pesticides. I eliminated it from my property 100%. When it rains, the neighbors’ poison floods the neighborhood and water supply. Ughh.
At night, when it's quiet, I can hear what sounds like an electronic signal. I am assuming it's related to emf (and am noticing health issues that I believe are related). It's a kind of high-pitch beep. Each beep lasts about 4 seconds, and is followed by 16 seconds of silence. I've timed it and it happens (seemingly precisely) three times per minute. I am assuming it is related to my Smart meter, which was installed, maybe, six or seven years ago.
that's interesting. smartmeter pulses are extremely brief - like in the millisecond range. that is according to utility information and it checks out from what i and others have noticed using high quality emf detection meters (like the safe and sound pro II). at least that is the case with smartmeters used in calif by pge, etc.
I have wondered if what I hear is the Smart meter, or something else. I don't know much about the meters. But, I can definitely hear something. A 'beep' at regular intervals.
i wonder if it might be nearby comcast equipment, or other such - is there a medium-size grey box mounted on a power pole near you? also, most people cannot hear RF (radiofrequency) which is what smartmeters emit - but some can. can others hear this beep?
I asked one friend, who said he could not hear it. As for grey boxes on nearby poles, there may be... but I'm no tech expert, so I don't really know what to look for.
Check the batteries on your smoke or fire alarms..?
Check to make sure your Carbon Monoxide sensor is not too old, they have expiry dates, as do the smoke and fire alarms.
Check the light on your water tank if it’s gas heated…there’s usually a legend telling you what the colour or number of blinks is (they don’t make a sound, though..not sure of that).
And finally, might you have an old timer of some sort, stuck in a drawer somewhere, trying to tell you “Help, I’m dyin’ here,”
Many of us can hear them, it depends on how much metal you have accumulated in your system.
Where I used to live, when dropping off to sleep and waking up, (in and out of 5Hz brain frequency) I could hear many of the neighbors smart meters pinging, it get dramatically worse when it is raining lightly as the atmosphere becomes so much more conductive.
Anyone who tells you smart meters only ping a few times a day is totally FOS! I can count the pings, they are not pleasant, ranging from making me feel like vomiting to near knocking me unconscious. Before I found a way to protect myself from it the typical symptoms are exactly the same as a bad flu, who would a thought.
Another symptom is exploding head syndrome, not many understand what it is and mistake it for other things. I found out how to stop that also, and it's definitely not by getting a health check or brain scan.
Here's a tip for anyone who reads this, have you ever watched Lookoutfacharlie's videos? He's right on the money.
Smart meters are no joke, and deadly, it's only a matter of time until you get your attack, but unfortunately most will go to their Dr and they will give it a name and give you some pills and you will never realize the actual source.
In my country you can refuse consent to have them installed, they are quite force full, but so am I.
I had all of my mercury fillings replaced years ago. I then did an intensive heavy metal detox (See Andy Cutler's protocol). It completely eliminated the neurological symptoms I was having.
Just recently, I began to experience tinnitus. It started about three weeks after I began using a Firestick (received as a gift to be used for watching TV). I watch barely any TV these days, and I've disconnected the Firestick altogether. As per Roman's suggestion, I unplug my modem at night. My tinnitus has diminished significantly, and I am sleeping better.
Like when nothing else was going on in the 80s and you could hear the high pitched ‐--------- like when a TV was turned on? I hear that all the time. No it's not tinnitus. Lol.
I am off grid, solar power only and no meter, a move motivated partly by my concerns about this. And it's cool!
But can I just add to the discussion that AC incoming to the house from a solar inverter can be really dirty, and suffers from "DC injection" which creates interference and can damage home electronics too, it had an audible effect on my HiFi especially when the batteries were low. Also the EMF field created by PV chargers and inverters is very powerful and if you are considering such systems try to place them outside the house in a brick built storeroom or outbuilding if you can - mine are 15 metres from the house. I fitted a Type F RCD to my incoming power supply and have wired the house so I can shut off the power to my bedroom with one switch inside the house.
All smart devices, dimmers, lightbulbs are a source of electrical noise, LED bulbs are really bad too.
Do not have a meter if you have any good suggestions that would be nice. Technician said it was a smart meter and it’s installed just like the older type meters with the dials on it.
And he left me paperwork, , smart meter if I have any questions call I don’t know what you mean by wireless.
Depending on the model, smart meters can be both wired and wireless. Hope that helps you for now. If you'd like to discuss further, send me an email roman@thepowercouple.ca as I tend to lose comments/ threads. Thanks for taking action Raphael!
Can you move the router to the outside? These routers also emit a ton of dirty electricity, not to mention radiofrequency. I would first get a meter to test before you shield.
What do you think about the Faraday cage? I get to staple it onto the wooden building that my Smart meters on I could staple the cage. Screw the cage over the Smart meter does that make sense? Wouldn’t that help?
I can custom build all kinds of cages over smart meters come to think about it. I used to protect air conditioning units from crackheads stealing the copper aluminum out of the condenser units. I can just lie
I live in the country and it is no better. We are surrounded by neighbors who use smart meters and cell phones. They all have wireless (we just had fiber optics come to the area but am wondering how many people will actually pay for it) and they just installed another tower a mile from our house (the nearest one for 7 years was 2.3 miles away at the church).
I live in an apartment for now. When I buy a home, if I use the VA loan, the home will already be built, everything will be ready. How would I mitigate the radiation?
I was thinking another night to turn off the electricity at the main circuit board. We are in an apartment. So more than likely, we can’t get the smart meter removed.
If I shut off the power on our circuit board in the apartment, will that prevent the surges of electricity from the Smart meter during the overnight period?
And for those of you that do this, do you find that your freezer pretty much stays intact for like an eight hour timeframe?
Yes shutting that off should help reduce electrical current flow by a lot, only way to know for sure is by measuring with an emf meter, but it's probably better than having the power on to your bedroom when sleeping. I keep the electricity going to our fridge overnight, but you could b ok, only way to know is by trying!
I had the house tested for EMF and dirty electricity last fall (I had MEMON EMF reducing technology put in my house, works wonders and they do an extensive test prior to installation).
EMF relative low and same for dirty electricity. MEMON helped a ton as we have less sinus and congestion. All devices are covered including house plug and WiFi devices/router. We also wear the bracelets when out of the house.
(It does work!! Proof my kid school has just had a 5g tower installed nearby. Tried fighting it no success. He broke his MEMON bracelet over Christmas holidays. Goes back to school without it in January. Late January I order a new one. Early February winter hols he gets really sick with a fever— high, he’s never had a high fever in 8 years. I think it’s EMF detox. New MEMON bracelet comes in. He puts it on. Fever gone in less than 2 hours. )
Yet I’ve had trouble sleeping the last few months. And hear that buzz sound like a pulse.
So I’m thinking they have upped the frequency of energy checks.
And it’s not in my head! I’m on holiday now in another country, no smart meter and less 5G towers, sleeping through the night and for 8-9 hours (at home I’m lucky to get 6-7 hours)
So when we get home I’ll cut the electricity at night. We already for 15 years turn off WiFi. They just installed fiber optic cable last year so will switch to that.
As for fridge, I think I’ll try just cutting power in rest of house. Summer is coming and I may wake up to a pool in the kitchen. lol.
Yes, do it. My freezer stays solid overnight, it's on a timer that cuts power at 10pm, starts at 8am but that is because it runs on batteries (offgrid)
They have their place, in a grid down situation but they are toys really. I only mentioned the batteries as my place is off grid, so batteries is all we have and in a stretch of say three or four days with low light the batteries do get low, although even on the worst days we can still make about 200 watts per hour, which is enough to tick over.
Turning off power in your apartment though is a good idea, I expect you'll feel the difference.
A very helpful share. I could not opt out but the electric co-op moved the smart meter to the road for a fee. It could not remain on my house. I was literally nauseous and all the "normal" sickness symptoms (heart palpitations, nervous sweats, inability to think and to rest, shooting nerve pains).
For me, I found this to be the most helpful addition to my knowledge bank and will be sharing this information with my electric company: "Our current power grid has a three-wire system designed for light bulbs and motors, not electronics. In 2000, the New York Power Association conducted an experiment where they monitored levels of EMF using a five-wire system vs the three wire system we have today. They found that just by adding two neutral wires, there was a 40% reduction in ground current, and a 50% reduction in EMF.⁴ Utility companies are aware of the problem but are still doing nothing to fix it."

I just had a thought -- could one of the reasons lead paint was banned was because it shielded from emfs and thermal imaging? Maybe they couldn't see inside your house if your house was painted with lead?
I feel that during different times of the day, I can hear low-frequency buzzing in my ear. I do not like it.
Hmm...do you keep a journal/ notice a trend in what times? Is it early in the morning, or late at night?
I can actually hear the power surging through one of our fans we run in the house. It’s like every five minutes you hear it surging.
I reduced emf from my smart meter 100%. I removed it. Unfortunately there are infinite sources surrounding us all. Same is true for pesticides. I eliminated it from my property 100%. When it rains, the neighbors’ poison floods the neighborhood and water supply. Ughh.

We just had a smart water meter installed!!!!!
There was no warning. Now they know in real time when we use water. This is out of control.
Hi JJ thanks for sharing that. Whereabouts are you located? Can you call the municipality, and /or get diagnosed as electrosensitive?
Sent you a DM
They came in and installed the smart meter two weeks ago fortunately, it’s on the generator shack, which is away from the house by about 20 feet
I have a house in Houston Texas, and they haven’t come there yet, but that’s gonna be outside the kitchen wall
Thanks for posting this I will be using those sample letters
I wonder if fairsday cage would work over the meter on the generator shack one of those bags you can buy at Amazon
What do you think of Amazon fair day cage I staple over or screw it to the wooden generator shack that it might hinder the EMF
Can you send a link? You would need to measure RF with a good meter if it's a wireless smart meter. Do you have a meter?
Do not have a meter if you have any good suggestions that would be nice. Technician said it was a smart meter and it’s installed just like the older type meters with the dials on it.
And he left me paperwork, , smart meter if I have any questions call I don’t know what you mean by wireless.

Shielding is something that really needs to be approached with care. I wouldn't advise it at the outset. Here's a basic meter I use: https://safelivingtechnologies.com/products/trifield-emf-meter.html?aff=265
If you just want to measure the RF spectrum of the meter - there are RF-only meters: https://safelivingtechnologies.com/products/safe-and-sound-pro-ii-rf-meter.html?aff=265
Depending on the model, smart meters can be both wired and wireless. Hope that helps you for now. If you'd like to discuss further, send me an email roman@thepowercouple.ca as I tend to lose comments/ threads. Thanks for taking action Raphael!
Well, I have a Starlink router in my house. How many EMF signals RADS it sitting in my living room?

I would be wary of doing that, there are many factors. if you'd like, we can set up a call to discuss. https://calendly.com/welcomefreechat/welcomefreechat (15 min free call)
Your story makes me so glad I don't live in the city.
Thank you Roman! I have an interesting story on how the smart meter battle was silenced by people within the emf aware community...."experts".
BTW, I like the term ES (electrically sensitive).
Thank you Paul! I look forward to hearing that story...maybe you can elaborate on it as well during our podcast?
Yes, I will definitely cover that in our podcast.
Ok fantastic! Looking forward to it.
Yes, I would like to heard more about people being silenced during the smart meter battles.
Don’t miss Romans podcast.
Aside from the radiation, there is also the control issue.
Absolutely. You mean govt surveillance?
Yes. I have bigger issues with that. The radiation can probably be blocked somehow.
Gotcha. Anything you're doing to mitigate the privacy concerns? Hardwired, vpn?
I live in an apartment for now. When I buy a home, if I use the VA loan, the home will already be built, everything will be ready. How would I mitigate the radiation?
I was thinking another night to turn off the electricity at the main circuit board. We are in an apartment. So more than likely, we can’t get the smart meter removed.

Wow. What a wonderful compilation of information. I am even enjoying the comments.
Thanks Kat! Yes our readers are the best (:
Thanks so much Charlene! Although I can't take complete credit - it was Dave Stetzer & Martin Graham, whose presentation I watched on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JRRMSqxcxc&list=LL&index=5
