-I recommend you have a desk that is flush against a window to drown out the PC light at least during the day.

-The curtain on the back car window could be in the way when you really need to see behind you. Better just turn down your rear view mirror and you can turn it up anytime you need to see behind.

-Dr. Berg was ok but he believes melatonin will fight viruses, so he believes in viruses. LOL.

I like the red plexiglass idea for the car window, but I don't know how you could arrange it to not interfere with the window going up and down.

I live in Toronto... and am wondering:

What is the optimal time of the morning to activate this sub-cellular melatonin? Not keen on leaving the apartment at sunrise, as there is no one on the streets at that time.

And if you can pinpoint an optimal range of time, say for how long should our eyes be exposed for the best sleep effects? Thanks Roman!

Can you open the window at sunrise? Get out as early as possible - probably before 10am in your area….which will prime you to receive UV later in the day.

I live in dark Ontario and I own a Therasage Tri-light pad. Would putting it over my face first thing (when I take my desicated thyroid) for a while be a good thing? It emits NIR a red light from non LEDs. In the winter I mean.

Hi Teresa, good question. Is it battery-powered?

Honestly the best thing is to get outside, even if it's dark at sunrise, the IR wavelengths still get through, along with other frequencies that sync your circadian rhythm. Candles are a cheap nice source of IR if you want natural light first thing.

For persistent use, I don't like LEDs for red light therapy as they are lasers and not as natural/ bio-absorbable as incandescent sources. Hope that helps?

It is plugged in. It is not LED though.

Plugging in first thing is not recommended due to dirty electricity in the walls, it could very well do more harm than good, sorry. It does say that it's LED on the site - when I say LED I don't necessarily mean blue light, LEDs can be any color.
