I am greatful to have been raised on a farm in the midwest, the oldest of six children. We lived off of the land and didn't even realize that we were organic. We raised cattle, pigs and chickens and grew their food, used their manure for spreading on fields and gardens. In the late summer we were busy canning and freezing the bountiful harvest for wintertime. We were rarely sick and rarely visited an Allopathic Dr as my mother was a microbiologist that worked with the pathologist at our local small hospital and she was put off with their practice of medicine to say the least. Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end. And now I am an woman of 71 years young with three sons, daughter in laws and ten grandchildren using herbs, essential oils, and other supplements along with health giving food. Thanks for sharing your lifestyle, ideas and the joys of being human in our day.

Wow. It must be truly amazing now - looking back at all those little choices you and your family has made through the years, that has now brought you so much joy, abundance, and most important of all - perspective.

Any herb you like this time of year for sinus congestion? I am seeing a lot of people coming down with this.

Eucalyptus globulus, Frankincense, pine, peppermint , rosemary, wintergreen, or lemon to name a few good ones. Use them to inhale and spread on the bottom of your feet by diluting with coconut oil or other vegetable oils. We use alot of essential oils but I do use an Essential Oils Desk Reference and for children it's best to dilute, supervise and keep away from eyes as essential oils are very powerful and can cause irritations. Using a steam inhaler made for the use of essential oils is the best method in my opinion.

Renate Lindemann commended your newsletter. Do you know something about being specifically targeted by radiation? In my case it is not sensitivity, but being targeted.

Expand full comment

Thank you for your question. I personally do not, however that does not mean I'm not being targeted. I do know others have been. When/ how did you first realize that you were being targeted?

At once.

I have a long story with the Roman Catholic Church, and at a certain point it was clear, that they had hacked my computer - or more like hijacked it. It was crazy what "they" could do with it. Obviously it was through AI.

But then the attacks with some kind of radiation weapon started. It was made in an obvious way. I was not attacked in a way it gave me symptoms. The attacks are direct. They sometimes kind of go within the body in a way it makes me convulse.

I know it sounds crazy - that is why I stopped telling anyone about it.

Only a very close friend of mine and a handful of others who know me well know about it and believe me.

Now they mostly target the brain when I am falling asleep. They can cause crazy muscle movements like one finger going backwards, or one lid going up. Sometimes it is.very subtle, sometimes it is brutal. There are more things.

But anyway, it is very obvious and very real.

Love the Pysanky. I used to make them after learning about my husband’s culture. There is a tradition that if we stop making them altogether the world will end. Love love love the traditions I learned from his mother. Borscht, walnut torte, etc. Her religion is so beautiful. A cappella hymns. Unfortunately did not learn his language which was most important of all.

Also the world ending myth makes sense as these eggs, from pagan times, represented birth/ rebirth

Yes, the ancient designs were adapted and changed into Christian and orthodox designs.

I’m working on getting the recipe to you. SeverAl emergencies at the moment.

No rush! Thank you Kathrlyn.

Thank you so much Kathryn for your kind words! I never heard that about the world ending, but makes sense as the Pysanky resemble the cosmic egg.

If you have it and it's not too much trouble, would you mind sending me that walnut torte recipe? I like collecting those old recipes...some you just can't find online.

Also, did you know there are two levels to Ukrainian? According to my mother-in-law there is an upper, more poetic level. But I was never clear on this.

Expand full comment

I have it, it is very detailed as certain steps must be followed precisely. Like the cooked filling. I’m not very tech oriented, what is the best way to send it?

Oh thank you Kathryn...that's ok. It sounds like it would be a lot of trouble. Can you take some pictures of it and email to me? info@thepowercouple.ca. if not, if you have a copier, you could photocopy it and always send it in the mail (:

Another great read! Yes, I keep saying it is not that our nervous systems is maladaptive to modern life, it is the maladaptive modern society "we" have created which we were never meant to survive and thrive in. Looking back at how we developed to live in "paleo" times - and how far away we are from it - is a good yardstick for how the hypernovelty is not aligned to our wellbeing. ps I recommended you in a comment on EMF on my latest post about the "Stress Barrel" and the EMF "bucket"...

You don't want to give up your coffee grinder? Have I told you about my antique hand-cranked electricity-free coffee grinder?

Thank you for sharing this - it's always a process to come back to who we've been all along, people of the soil, of the earth, a connected and integral member of Creation. Happy New Year!

Thank you so much Alissa for your thoughtful words. I'd love to see a link / pic of that grinder. Feel free to email us info@thepowercouple.ca

My best friend has one that he made me use last year, and I think my forearms are finally recovering. Do you use it often?

Thank you so much Doc! I appreciate you chiming in. It's good to connect with another like mind. Any potent herb/ tea you like for respiratory ailments/ sinuses?

Expand full comment

My 2 current favorite decoctions, although not specifically for respiratory, are red pine needles (locally-sourced from public woodlands where no chemical spraying happens), and raw nigella sativa seeds (my go-to source, Kevala, is currently sold-out - drat). For respiratory, my #1 is inhaling the steam from 1 part food-grade 3% hydrogen peroxide diluted in 5 parts RO or distilled water. Also methylene blue is a potent antioxidant, but it's kinda expensive. Cheers!

Great article. We've traded our cause of death from a wild animal or starvation to "Food" and EMFs.

Expand full comment

Either way - it's a wild world, but we were becoming stronger as a species when fending off wild animals, now we mistake our docility for civility. Hopefully we can learn from this process. Happy New Year Jonathan, and thanks for stopping by to leave a comment!
