Wow - ok thanks for the heads up. I'll save it for after humanity detoxes from GO. I heard Todd Callender mention the cesium in passing, but wasn't sure. Would love to know his sources. Thanks for the link

Thank you!

So funny that you bade us to go out into the sun.

Melatonin stimulates postharvest ripening of apples by up-regulating gene expression of ethylene synthesis enzymes

"In apple there is some evidence that melatonin may play an important role in growth and ripening, acting as an antioxidant and ROS scavenger molecule (Lei et al., 2013), as has also been described for cucumber, grape, tomato and cherry (Manchester et al., 2000, Burkhardt et al., 2001, Okazaki and Ezura, 2009, Vitalini et al., 2011)."

This is fascinating Sally! Thank you for sharing this. How did you come upon the study?

Sorry, I can't help sharing my wife's joke. After reading the title, she posed the question,

"Can you destroy the towers by throwing apples at them?"

Expand full comment
author

Haha!!!!!! I love it. i've wanted to throw an apple at something and see what kind of damage it could do- Call it my destructive instinct...if enough of us get together, we may not destroy the towers, but could have a hell of a apple party at the base of them, calling attention to our cause.

Best case is people eat more apples and get healthier, thinking more clearly and waking up to the fact that the towers need to come down!

Do you have any apple trees by you? All those apples Bohdanna and picked wild or on trails. 40 pounds worth.

The French started to destroy towers as soon as they were installed...

My wife planted 11 trees last year. Thee of them are apple, the rest are chestnut, plum, elderberry, cherry, and sour cherry. We also have a wild golden delicious.

I've always liked apples, but only after peeling them.

Apple parties must be organized! :)

That's amazing Ray! I hope to be able to visit one day and try some. I'll bring the peeler, you provide the fruit. Deal? (:

My daughter says I ruined her by peeling her apples when she was little! As an adult she still won’t eat them. Not gonna do that with her daughter, my granddaughter 😉

For sure! Do you have a sourdough starter? Once you have that done, it's easy peasy.

This recipe uses blueberries, but I love slicing apples instead (mutsus hold their form the best I find)

I didn't know about B17/Laetrile and its use in cancer treatments. Thank you. I wasn't surprised to learn that it was suppressed....

As I was reading this I was coming up with different variations of the apple keeping the doctor away joke but as I got near the end I realized it was taken care off.

Thank you so much Jonathan for your insight - it helps me know what value / info I can add to my articles, for an audience that's already full of smart cookies. Indigenous people have been eating apricot seeds a lot - I think maybe the Hunzu is one, there's another in Turkey, with zero cancer incidence.

I'd still like an apple joke from you...comedy isn't my strong suit, but cheesy comedy definitely is.

Roman... your timing is just perfect I must say. I'm recently eating organic apples literally every day and I can feel a significant improvement in cognitive performance. There's so much truth in the wisdom "An apple a day keeps the doctor away".

Yes! I am so happy you're enjoying the bounty Mother Nature is giving us right now. A fellow author Barbara of the Quaking Poplar, told me that in ayurveda, apples have a cooling quality...thus taking out any excess heat our bodies have stored during the summer. How cool is that!?

I first heard about laetrile from the Truth About Cancer series some years ago just a month or so before my father died with cancer. At that time I had tried to juice and get that into him but he could not get down more than half a mug a day.

I am so inspired by reading your articles, and I'm just hoping to grasp things well enough to use them and share with my children. I'm also hoping to finally get the devices out of my life, but it is exciting to read things like this.

Hi Runemasque, thank you so much for sharing your story. TTAC is a fantastic resource. I can certainly understand how you feel. I've found that it's all about (no pun) planting those seeds...and then your children/ family may see something a year later that jives.

May I ask - what was the last article before this that inspired you?

Loved this article so much!, Roman! Thank you. 🍎🍎🍎 Ayurveda teaches that apples help draw excess heat stored in the body during the summer months so we're healthier in the fall. I've been eating tons of them (seeds and all.) The sourdough pancake looks delish!

Barbara, thank you so much for that tip! There's a reason I love apples so much then- I'm hot-blooded with lots of fiery summer Sun energy! What's your favourite type of apple?

Expand full comment

I wrote a post a few weeks ago called "An Ayurvedic Tip" about it if you're interested. It's actually really important to get that heat out, especially if you're a fiery Pitta type! :)

I love the early Macintoshes right off the tree when they're super tart and crispy. Ayurveda would tell me that I should go for the sweeter versions. Oh well! :) Isn't it laughable how the seeds have been demonized?

I always learn valuable information from your well writen blogs. Thank you! Knowledge has been weaponized and specifically natural healing methods have been eliminated. Apple seeds are a perfect example of this and I am kinda of embarrassed it wasn’t something I figured out on my own. Why? Because when anything, person, invention, medical treatment, and cures is canceled on the mainstream we can be sure the canceled thing is something that will help us survive these crazy times boiling around us. I am excited to make apple cider vinegar and the sourdough pancakes. I’ve been meaning to make a sourdough starter for a few weeks now and you’ve just given me the reason to do it today. Thanks again!

Amazing! Yes Tammi I certainly hear you. Now is a good time to make a starter outside as well. Mix 1/4 cup flour with 1/4 cup water in a jar, cover with a cloth in a partly shaded area, and the starter will absorb all the wild yeasts flying around this time of year for more resilience and bacterial variety. You can do it indoors as well of course- still lots of wild yeasts flying round there as well.

I'm so happy you're getting value out of my writing. Hope all is going well with the new location and your dad? Anyways - you can always write me.

Take care, and have a wonderful day Tammi.

Blessings,

Roman

Is there a limit to the number of apple seeds that you can consume? I juice and I cut out the core and most of the seeds but it would be much easier if I could just throw in the whole apple.

Great question Emumundo. You know, I'm not sure, however I will throw in about 15 apples max into my pot with the seeds and skins, and then blend to make apple sauce. I know that some people do an "apple fast" where they eat 2 apples a day for a week (seeds included). I wouldn't overdo it, but I also wouldn't worry too much.

I know for apricot kernels, the general rule of thumb is to start with 1 kernel per 10lbs of body weight per day. That’s 15 per day for a 150 lb person.

It’s recommended that you introduce them to your system gradually. Start with 5-10 the first day, and work your way up.

I hope this helps?

This is exactly the info I was looking for. Also, do you have a favorite recipe for apple sauce? My fav applesauce is a no-sugar jar applesauce from Mercier Apple Orchards in Blue Ridge, GA. It’s sweet even tho it doesn’t have any sugar. Wish I could learn to make some just as tasty.

Hi Katrina! Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and question. Do you know what kind of apples Mercier uses? We've found that mutsu apples make for a thick sauce, and sweet as well. A mix of apples can sometimes give more depth of flavor and sweetness. We've done a gala/ mutsu mix that was really sweet, and then there's also mcintosh. Mcintosh may not be as sweet, but have more flavor I find. Our basic recipe:

Fill instapot with apples (peels on, leave seeds in, but can take cores out since they can make for a gritty sauce once blended). Throw in 1-2 cinnamon sticks (brings out more sweetness)

We cook on high pressure for 15 min. Then we blend in a vitamix and cook on med-low heat for an hour or so to reduce. When cooking down we've found that the sauce can create a volcanic effect of bubbling and that enamel/cast iron cookware like le creuset works best in regulating temp. If you use stainless steel just make sure the temp isn't too high, otherwise you'll get splattering!

Hope that helps?

Let us know how you make out!

Oh thank you! I’ve never heard of mutsu variety before. I will definitely look for it. The jars of Mercier Orchards applesauce don’t mention which variety they use. Nor is it on their website. Hmm. Guess I can experiment!
