Thanks for the post, Roman and Bohdana. Good timing presenting this research near Labor Day. The portion about worker protests made me think of attorney Bobbie Ann Cox's recent post about how this US holiday came into existence and its application to our situation today--that we need enough numbers to influence lawmakers.

"Unabomber" Theodore Kaczynski wrote some worthwhile work/s about technology. Yes, that's the guy the government says was a lunatic "domestic terrorist." Maybe that narrative is not 100% accurate, as it turns out. Of course, I don't condone bombing or killing people, but one can't help but wonder how much of the "everybody knows it" stories we hear in the news are really as presented. Anyway, his book definitely made some convincing points like yours about the downsides to our "progress."
