I absolutely think have this issue. I have all the symptoms you listed. I have had 2 brain tumors. One brain surgery to remove the first which left me deaf in one ear and with a slew of neurological issues. Vertigo, tinnitus, chronic headaches, brain fog, memory issues, and more. I live in a state of disorientation daily. Utterly exhausted. Just trying to shower is exhausting. Second tumor is growing and I need surgery but I’m hesitant to endure that hell again. I have titanium mesh plate in my skull and they left a hole in skull. Which causes tons of problems with pressure in my head. I also have major back and neck issues: scoliosis, spinal cord compression, nerve damage and compression. I have had 2 large spine fusions with titanium implants. My chronic pain in back and neck is unbearable and I’ve had it for over 20 years now. I’m losing function in my arms and legs from the spinal cord issues. They go numb all the time and have radiculopathy in all my limbs. My past neurosurgeon has told me I may eventually be partially paralyzed. Especially since my scoliosis keeps curving the spine that is not fused. Causing more problems. It’s a never ending cycle of pure hell. I have a huge list of chronic issues that have disabled me. I tried so hard after brain surgery to bounce back. Then months later had to have my neck fused due to the cord compression nearly paralyzing me. My immune system is shot and I catch everything and am always sicker than others for longer even with allergies. I am allergic to everything it seems and battle them daily. I developed asthma since I got sick during Covid. I don’t trust any of my doctors. My primary doctor left me to nearly die during pandemic. I was so sick I couldn’t get out of bed for weeks. I had to do video visits and he told me take Tylenol for fever and good luck. Nothing he can do. I was so angry after I started learning of alternative remedies that were being suppressed. I have not been the same since Covid and feel it probably did more harm than I even know yet. I have horrible chest pains that seem to be asthma attacks but I wonder if blood clots or something else. I’ve lost several of my doctors due to their new policies during pandemic. They wouldn’t allow patients with certain symptoms to come to office. So since I was sick literally from Nov 2019 well into 2023 I often had to reschedule. Well I found out recently when trying to make an appt he was no longer my doctor due to their policy on missed appointments. I feel like they actually engineered their policy to cause patients like me with chronic health issues to miss treatment and eventually they will die off. I am so sick of the medical professionals they sold us out for the most part. Only a very small few actually became doctors to help people and uphold their oath. Most do it for the money. Sorry for the rant. My life has been a long torture with all this suffering. Now my doctors literally have bailed on me. I’m so worn out and I’m about to be 49. 😢🥵

Good articles. I've known these have been harmful for many years. I worked around it in the military and then spent 20+ years as an IT Engineer installing routers, switches, bridges, Wi-Fi and more. Here is a base I was at for a short time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmgDxf4xpDI Low key base but operations are shut down now. Classified base and needed very high security clearance to access the base. The transmitters, receivers, and dishes were absolutely huge. Birds would pile up around the base of these and they would have to shut them down and clean it up. They just dropped dead out of the sky. Used faraday cages around the base. I remember several of us getting nauseated while there. I wish I had pictures of it. We were not supposed to take pictures but as you can see, people did.

I really appreciate the well done article, but under Electrophobia, you say blind people can't have it.

That makes no sense to me on any level.

You can't see EMF, and as far as reading about it, blind use audiobooks. And they can hear what people are talking about as well as the sighted.

Hi Susan, thanks for your feedback. Are you in the US or Canada? I know that in my area of Ontario there's only one doctor that can treat EHS. You could try to get a referral to another practitioner who treats it - or contact the Electrosensitive Society they may be able to help.

The 5G meter is for detecting the microwave radiation emitted by 5G in and around our homes, at higher ranges that other meters can't detect.

Did you have a specific question on it?

I'll consider myself lucky living in a rural area. I can't even get a signal more than half the time. I have to go down the road about half a mile just to get a bar or two. I get a lot of missed calls and VM's. I also use the speakerphone when I do talk. And wireless is cutoff automatically at night and comes back on when everyone is starting to get up in the morning. I put it all on a timer. Anyways, I wanted to recommend a couple of apps to monitor your signal strength. It will also show you approximate tower location on a map, which one your connected to, signal strength for all bands rather it be the cell networks or Wi-Fi along with other handy information. The app is Network Cell Info by M2Catalyst. The other is a Bluetooth scanner which shows you all devices, RSSI signal strength, connected devices, and more. It's called Bluetooth Scanner by Zoltan Pallagi. I like the BT scanner as it shows everything whereas your cell phone will not when doing a BT scan. I installed several but these two are the best. Not many ads or annoying popups. You can purchase the apps and they're fairly cheap. Try them out to see how it works out for you. I like it when I see no signals and that's what I usually see when everything is off at night. I'm in a dead zone.

Hi Roman. I live in northern California. Thanks for the suggestion to contact the ES, I will.

Does the 5G meter register any other EMR? Or is it just for 5G? As yet I own no such meters, mostly because of $$ limitations. I would prefer one meter to read them all, rather than several specialized meters.

Thanks Susan for your question. I hear you on the $ limitations. This meter specifically measures 5G cell towers, 5G cell phone emissions, higher frequency radar and other 5G high band devices. There is another one called the Safe and Sound classic that measures other RF (not 5g) which is a meter everyone should have as well. I would suggest at least starting with that one(ill send a link) or you can also go in on it with your friends and share it, as an idea

It measures some of the lower 5G frequency bands (8GHz), whereas the newer 5G meter I have on the article measures more of the high-energy spectrum of 5G (20-40GHz)

Here's also a basic one that covers many different types of EMF:

Most health professionals in my experience, whether MD or alternative (acupuncturists, naturopaths, etc), know nothing or very little about microwave sickness, and have numerous wireless devices in their offices and treatment rooms, including their own cellphones and wifi laptops for intake notes. The average MD will dismiss the possibility of EMF radiation being the cause of your symptoms. Instead they tend to: 1. refer you to psychiatry or 2. prescribe female hormones. MDs that know a bit more will prescribe things like beta blockers - which, though they can be a temporary help in an extreme wireless (radiofrequency) exposure situation, have terrible after-effects, extreme side effects, and in my opinion are not worth the damage to health.

Aside from the things we all know about removing our worst exposures, like cellphones, home wifi, smart watches, baby monitors, home security systems, etc, many great solutions can be had by consulting with an EMF remediation specialist who can design strategies for your own home and life that greatly ameliorate the radiation you are exposed to, including electrical voltage fields. I have done this and it has been transformative. For instance, my bedsprings are now grounded to a very low voltage area 75 feet from the house, so being on my bed is now like lying in that field.

Also, the car you drive can be a huge source of emf/RF exposure, and the newer the car the worse it usually is. For example, some of the 'sensors' collision avoidance systems use is radar. Plus newer cars tend to use wireless communication within the car to operate things.

And of course, if you are able to move from a dense emf situation to one out in the country away from most transmitters, that can be the best solution - just make sure to check it out thoroughly before you rent or buy.

What are your thoughts about radiation from CB radios? We had one in our house in the 70s as well as in our car.

Expand full comment
author

The portable ones with the battery could be a better option. They do certainly emit RF, however the important thing is that they be turned off and not always on. Placement of the antenna is also important - you don't want it over your bedroom for instance. Having them in the car is also not ideal, as you're basically irradiating yourself in a metal box. I don't even put the radio on in the car anymore. Another reason to listen to my cds.

That said, you don't want the perfect to be the enemy of the good, and if I had a choice, I would much rather use a CB radio than a cell phone. Does that help answer your question Luzzie?

Do you know if it's true that even a tablet is better than a cell or is it really the same?

Expand full comment

Another good question John. Honestly, I try to stay away from all of them, tablet or phone, and hardwire them.

However to answer your question... It depends on the tablet, but many of them have the same amount of antennas as the phone. Tablets with cellular data will increase the SAR (specific absorption rate).

This is why I opt to hardwire my phone, or you could do this with a tablet and it would be a nice setup.

at around the 2:50 mark of the video you'll see how I hardwired our iphone:

Roman - are you saying that the AM/FM transmissions from radio station towers which hit our cars' antennas are somehow bouncing around in the metal box (car) just like a cellphone's transmissions inside the car would do? I don't understand. I always thought that we are all being irradiated wherever the AM/FM signals penetrate, whether or not our receiver (the car radio) is on. Please elucidate, thanks.

The reason I asked is because I'm EHS and curious about my lifetime exposures that may have caused me to be sensitive.

Expand full comment

Yes Lizzie, i have wondered the same thing - in the 70s we would go on long trips, caravaning with two other families, all towing trailers - and the men all used CB radios in the cars to communicate with the others, which i understand put out 5 watts. One of the men ended up dying of ALS (like MS on steroids).

How sad. My dad had severe Alzheimer’s in his final years. Many of my aunts and uncles had severe diseases that ended their lives. So many toxins!

Expand full comment

Thanks Lizzie for clarifying. Yes the CBs certainly could have contributed. People started experiencing EHS symptoms way back with the telegraph wire, and then with radio in 1918 (Spanish flu) so it is certainly a contributing factor. The important thing now is to limit exposure and detox accordingly.

Expand full comment

Thank you. I'm limiting exposure the best I can.

The quick answer is yes, and I suspect a great many more people are too, they just have not learned to recognise their symptoms are associated with exposure to radiation at levels much lower than limits st out by ICNIRP/Canada’s Safety Code 6.

Thanks for your comment. Safety code 6 is definitely a problem - as it also only accounts for thermal effects, and doesn't consider non-thermal/biological effects of EMF to be an issue at all. I don't consult allopathic doctors. Here in UK we have to register with a doctor if we are unwell so I was amazed when, by pure luck, I found one who was happy to take me on his books. He says I am the only retired patient he has who does not require any form of medication.

I developed breathing difficulties in 2015 after being sprayed by low flying aircraft at anti-fracking camps. The lack of oxygen eventually caused me a sudden cardiac arrest which landed me (shocked and uncooperating) in hospital. The bristling antennae on the roof and WIFI at every bed surprised me. "Blimey!" I said loudly, "How do you expect to heal anyone in a building buzzing with electrosmog like this?" and the nurses exchanged those glances which say, "Oh no. A hippy!" while they smiled at me patronisingly. I could barely sleep in that place and couldn't get away fast enough!

A few months later I had a stroke during my sleep and lost feeling in the tips of two fingers of my left hand. My left hip and leg were unreliable for a time too. So I was once again a reluctant guest at our local hospital. Sigh. The CAT scan revealed two small bleeds on the base of my brain behind my right ear. I refused the statins and got discharged as soon as I proved that my marbles were not rolling off into the sunset. I consider that a lucky escape, tbh.

Since then my hair has slowly reduced in volume by half at least. Every tooth has fallen out of my head and oedema set into my legs and feet, stopping me from driving.

Sorting out what was causing all these random, seemingly unrelated symptoms was a nightmare.

I stopped eating wheat to avoid glyphosate. My son made me a grounding plate to put under my bare feet while I am working at my desk. I got some help from a homeopath but the best thing we did was buy an electrosmog detector and find an area of this village which was poorly served by telecoms signals. Thankfully we moved there in March 2021.

I felt terrific until August of that year. I was delighted!

Then, suddenly I became breathless even while sitting down. Sure enough, the Electrosmog detector was flashing red. We tried to find where the offending signal was coming from and realised that the electro-magnetic radiation was coming through from the neighbours' WIFI, newly installed not-so-smart meters and especially from above.... EVEN outside!

Satellites? Who knows!

I don't know if I agree with the term Electro-Magnetic-Hyper-Sensitivity. It sounds as if it is a mild thing that affects just a few sorry souls. I would prefer to call it what it really is: Radiation Sickness.

That would wake the legislators from their Big Tech induced ignorant stupor, wouldn't it?

Oh yeah.

One other thing..... that Freud was a sex obsessed misogynistic cocaine addict. That is the most polite thing I can think to say about the guy.

That sucks but at least you know the cause. I knew this stuff was harmful but was not aware that it could actually manifest into health issues later on in life. I worked around a lot of this stuff too. I have tinnitus so bad it drives me crazy and then within the past year, I had sudden hearing loss and have to wear hearing aids. Of course, they have the BT to control the remotely but I disable it. It's not that difficult to use your hand to adjust them. I started suffering from anxiety while in the military. I got out and started working in the IT field on a variety of gear including Wi-Fi. In 2005, I ended up in an ER because half my face went numb, palpitations, sweating, and blood pressure was 220/130. I was freaking out. They did a CT scan and gave me a couple of pills. They found nothing wrong and diagnosed me with panic. The pills they gave me were valium which calmed me. I've also lost a lot of teeth and I don't know why. In 2011, I was in bad shape and the VA disabled me. I was also physically injured in the military but nothing that should cause what I've experienced. I've been looking for the source of my anxiety/panic for years. I've tried many holistic remedies but nothing helps. I have to keep benzo on me and hate the drug but it keeps me out of the ER. I eat home grown organic veggies. And I get raw organic meats, eggs, milk, butter, honey, etc. I know it's not diet. I started getting away from many of the GMO's and pesticides several years ago. Even hygiene products are organic and simple ingredients. I moved out of the city to a very rural area and I got better for 2 years. I didn't need any medications. No issues whatsoever except pain from my injury. Then it all hit again in 2017. I'm at a loss since I rarely get a signal. I can only check the 4g and Wi-Fi. I don't have the tools to check 5g. I'm at a loss unless it's just the laptop, Wi-Fi router, or smart meter causing the issue. I limit these too.

Expand full comment

I use a laptop, hard wired to the router which links to a landline. The wifi facility is turned off on the appliances and the router. It is possible that the effects from non-ionising radiation are cumulative and we reach a point when we just can't tolerate any more. Satellites are also a problem than few people seem to realise are beaming us all 24/7.

Expand full comment

That may be a good idea. Just buy a roll of Cat 6 cable and string it through the attic and walls and terminate it in a box. Wi-Fi eliminated. Never thought about the satellites. Interesting, since Elon started launching all these in 2015. And even more are going up soon. I know we can shield ourselves to some extent. Is there even a way to detox from RF/EMF? Grounding? I'm fairly new to this Substack so I haven't read all the articles. I don't even know if it's possible. I forgot, how does one make a grounding plate? Do you have a picture or materials used?

Yes radiation sickness would be appropo. EHS sounds a little boutique, like a rare disease few get. Orwell reckoned that the Nobs are sneakily changing the lingo so we should play them at their own game. They have turned some lovely words into darkness. Like DEW and PRISM and CLOUD and HAARP and STARLINK. They even twist the meaning of good serviceable words like FACE, BOOK, and they have nicked TWITTER from the birds. The nerve of them! 😅

Phones are microwaves, no doubt about that. I find that calling the goggle box a Tell-Lie-Vision nudges people into thinking about what they are hypnotised by. I like messing with people's names too - like Elon Musk is an anagram for Lone Skum which is obviously his real name! 😅 Someone should fix the landmark of Hollywood (two more stolen lovely words) and spell it Hellyweird.
